I’d like to add couple cents here, as a bystander, who attends this place pretty often.
Location. Is just great, right at the beach, can’t really ask for better than that.
Staff. Staff is great too. And I’d like to express a lot of compassion to people, who work there. I think, very few can understand the burden they carry and specifics of their job. They have to interact with literally hundreds of customers on a daily basis, and that requires A LOT of energy and patience. As some of those customers: do not speak Spanish, might have had couple drinks before, simply rude and impatient, arrogant and demanding. So, I have nothing but compassion if some staffers might seem worn down, and not very smily. Try to do what they do, and you’ll find out very soon. I had to wait for my simple orders for a bit too long myself couple times, but it never crossed my mind the idea that the workers had skipped my order on purpose, or just to annoy me. So, once again, let’s show some love and respect to those, who do their job at the other side of the counter, without (I’d assume) being paid an impressive wage for the amount of labour they handle.
Wi-fi is ok, but I wonder, would that take too much to improve the power of internet. Seems like an easy fix to me, especially considering how busy the place can get at the times.
Speaking of which. I don’t know, whose idea was that the toilets put as they are, would be nearly enough for this place. I might assume they qualify for city regulations, but they do not qualify for common sense and the reality in general. Those restrooms must be bigger and able to fit more people. It is ridiculous how tiny they are, considering the crowds attending the place. It leads to 2 problems: It’s really awkward to use that restroom, once there is more than one person (quite often), period. It’s nearly impossible for the cleaner to keep the room tidy. 5 minutes after the worker completed the clean up, it’s messy again, as a whole bunch of people enter that tiny room in short period of time, each one leaving his piece of mess after himself. The space and the amount of bowls needs to be twice, if not thrice larger.
Another note/suggestion. It feels miserable at the times, witnessing workers yell the number of an order through the noise of crowd. I dont’t know, may be they are comfortable with that, you ask them. But, honestly, could a billion dollar company set the proper screens that will show the numbers of orders that are ready? Or, mb, install a microphone and speaker, so the cashier can announce the number with the calm voice, not trying to over-cry many dozens of loudly chatting clients?.. Seems like an easy fix.
Another of which, might be posting a bigger sign at the entrance and may be at the ordering screens too, that suggest the customers to have their shirts on. I understand, the place is 2 feet away from the beach. But you should also understand, people come here to eat, not to witness your amazing body. (Yes, I know, there are some posters at the entrance, but no one can notice them, unless, they specifically look for it).
If I’m not mistaken, there is quite short of an offer of soda drinks. I can only order a large coke, and that’s it. Is there any problems with Fanta or Sprite?..
Summarizing, I’ll say that the place in general is pretty good, but some areas definitely could be improved: restrooms, wifi, “t-shirt on” signs, announcing system. Also, seems it might be helpful to have some extra staff on shift. I have an impression that couple extra bodies would be very helpful to have, especially once I see the line goes all the way to the street. And the ones, who work there - wonderful people who deserve a lot of credit. As I said, I come to this location pretty often to work on my notes, sip some coffee and enjoy the view while working, and I’m impressed how much of a load those guys...
Read moreSomething strange is happening in this McDonald’s in terms of orders pick-up from the counter. We come here often and it has happened nearly every time: we place our order at the till and almost immediately it appears on the READY screen. When I come to get my order, that is ‘ready’, an employee tells me that it is still being prepared, wait a bit. When I ask why is it on the READY screen if it is clearly not ready, they tell me to ignore the screen, they will tell us themselves when it’s ready. The wait is usually long. That gives me the impression that the restaurant is trying to trick the control system into thinking that the orders are being fulfilled quickly and efficiently, although they can’t do it in a timely manner. This practice causes confusion and annoyance for the clients (my husband and myself included) and makes us doubt the professionalism and diligence of the employees and management of this branch, by that harming the public image of the whole institution.
Please inspect this restaurant for compliance with norms and policies required of McDonald’s restaurants in Spain...
Read moreLovely McDonald's. I called in today for lunch. The views over the coast and Puig Campana are wonderful! The menu was far more extensive than the normal McDonald's I frequent in South Wales, UK. Afternoon cakes were on the menu and more salads. First impressions were of a very clean, bright and airy premises. Our food was delivered to the table quickly by very friendly staff and was excellent. I tried a honey and mustard salad, not available in the UK, it was delicious. I also had a fantastic kit kat, caramel sauce mcflurry (on the menu in the UK but never available, why I don't know? ) This McDonald's is thoroughly...
