Pizzeria Popular Playa San Juan — Restaurant in Alicante

The wait was sooo long. We waited 30 min to order (and costumers who arrived after us got their order taken before us even though we were ready) and then we waited about 45min more to get our food (one pizza and one pasta) :( the waitress seemed careless, she was standing in the middle of the restaurant texting on her phone, very unprofessional. All other customers waited a long time as well and were asking how much longer to wait… it was on the way they said, but we still waited. No warning of how long the wait was, which would have been nice, it wasn’t even busy. We didn’t get an apology or any form of compensation. Nice place at the beach. Pizza had potential to be excellent with super good dough. The peperoni tasted cheap though like a supermarket sausage. Our calzone arrived cold In the middle but was very nice after a quick heat up. Service was kind but seemed disorganised. It wasn't very busy but the pizzas took quite long to arrive and we didn't see anybody in the meantime. I would have ordered a wine. My girlfriend and I ate here this afternoon. I'll keep my review brief. When the orders arrived, the starters were okay, but the main courses were very disappointing. To be objective, the chicken on the pizza was in poor condition - undercooked and overcooked at the same time. The pasta with mushrooms was also not well prepared. Given the prices, we expect better quality food. Definitely, they should be more careful with their dishes.
