This is by far the BEST restaurant in Alicante! No doubt! Amazing food, honest (low!!) prices, perfect location and good menu. Go here! You won’t regret it. Order a lenguado/sole/zeetong! Absolutely the best!!

Four negatives? Don’t let these pointers stop you: you still need to visit this restaurant! But maybe the owner can smile next time as well to unknown paying customers… Don’t expect everybody to like dogs! My mother is afraid of dogs and did not like it that other guests came inside with a dog (it was even given water…). If you are alergic or afraid? Don’t expect everybody to like animals.

Second negative? The staff is véry friendly! Except the owner! We went twice to this restaurant and both times he walked passed our table not even looking at us. Only VIP important people that the owner/manager knows will be given a handshake. Others? Pffft, not important to him, so not worth looking at them. Even if you just knot hello to a table, that is enough. I was not worth of a friendly ‘hello’… I've had two delicious meals at this restaurant. I was eager to return for the sole. But it would be nice to just simply say hello or at least be friendly. He's truly rude, unless you're a VIP and an acquaintance of his.

Keep in mind that the word ‘cuota’ in Spanish means they already add a percentage to your bill. In this case 10%. Of course you also have to pay for the bread; as everywhere.

We booked a table because the windows are open with the best view ever! When we came into the restaurants the next day? The windows unfortunately closed and very cold due to the airconditioning. We booked this because of the open seating! But the great food and friendly staff made us come back later that week....

The paella/arroz with chicken and artichokes was very good, and we loved the roasted nuts that were given to us as an appetizer! The views are also great on the pier. My only real complaint is that our waiter seemed to be a bit forgetful - after asking for the check, we waited maybe 15-20 mins as he waited on other people before asking again for the check. Maybe another 5 minutes later, again after bringing others their food, taking orders, etc, we flagged him down again to ask. Only then did we finally get our check and were able to pay. Maybe the waiter was just having an off day, but it shouldn't have taken us over half an hour total to pay once we've already asked for the check. Would still consider going back, however, as the food seemed worth it, just maybe not if you're in any sort of...

I was really excited to try this restaurant after reading the reviews and also I had a personal recommendation. The 1st course was good Gambas Al Ajillo but the seafood Paella (mariscos) was the worst i have ever had, oily with no taste and very little sea food. I have had better in the old town......this restaurant is over priced for the standard of food. I did eat the meal as I was so hungry after waiting for the restaurant to open....8pm. I did complain and even asked for half the money back for the paella but the management were having none of it. The couple next to us were also not impressed with their meal. So I would say this place is very hit and miss and an expensive mistake if your food is not up...

We had dinner at Santi in Alicante, and it was just okay. The service was good, staff were friendly and attentive. The paella, however, was nothing special, just average. The real issue came with the bill. They brought bread to the table before we even ordered, and we were shocked to see they charged us almost 8€ for it. On top of that, we noticed after paying that they charged more for the paella than what was listed on the menu. Overall, while the service was fine, the food wasn’t worth the price, and the unexpected charges left a bad taste. You can easily find better places to eat in Alicante.
