One hit wonder. You can really tell that the standards are low in the area with this one. Perfect example that money can’t buy authenticity.
The decoration is tacky and feels like a weak immitation of something they found on pinterest. Mocktail was like drinking straight syrup, disappointing. Staff were clueless, nightlife music for lunch and loud for nothing.
Worst for last, the food… menu was pizza pasta burger, you know, the typical “I don’t know what concept to make so let me just make everything” but done poorly. We chose 2 croquetas, one with jamón which in their defense was actually good. But the one with Gamba was seriously so nasty. The we had a “chicken” salad, like seriously, can you at least not cook the chicken yourself instead of serving some storebought nasty thin-strip of chicken. The ensalada alteana, terrible balance of flavours, one bite was terribly salty and the next bite was tasteless. You can tell that the “chefs” have no clue in the world how to cook, let alone standards…
Do better, gastronomy is passion, and it’s clearly lacking here. I suggest you take the time to at least curate a well structured menu, that would be a good start, at last. Good...
Read moreDo not waste your time or money on this place !!!!!! Very poor service, after being seated we had to call a waiter to ask for our first drink, it had taken do long to get attention we ordered our food at the same time. I had to get up and go look for salt and pepper, three waiters saw me looking thru the coffee sugars but no one asked if the could help. The food when it came was sub standard, the salmon was a tad over cooked, all the vegetable were totally cold, I got half a Brussels spout, 4 asparagus one was burnt totally black, one slice of aubigine that was raw , one mushroom cut into 4. Again I had to get attention to ask for salt and pepper , then for lemon for the salmon, the lemon, came in slices as for drink, not for fish. Do not waste your time and money going...
Read moreJust out of the tourist harbor in Altea, you can enjoy the lovely view of the moored boats with the background of the main church and, good food and drinks in a relaxed setting despite the two way road where very few vehicles pass. The service is impeccable, the cocktails well done and you can enjoy tapas or a real dinner. Just one big minus: looking at the bar with your back to the sea, the right side tables are filled with the smell coming out of the kitchen and it’s really really too much. Sit on the left side, it will be much better. It’s a pity, this spoils an otherwise...
