From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere that beautifully blends chic modern design with traditional touches. It’s the kind of place that instantly puts you at ease, making you feel right at home.
The menu is a treasure trove of flavors, showcasing the richness of traditional Indian dishes. If you’re a vegan, you’ll be pleased to find a thoughtful selection of plant-based options that don’t skimp on taste. Read moreWhere to begin… let’s put it like this: Service was arrogant, openly unhappy, irritated and pushing. Even though the food was really good and most of us enjoyed it, service’s behaviour made us feel so confused that we couldn’t enjoy it fully.
First of all, we made a reservation for 7 people. They rushed us by phone calls what made us nervous and as we arrived to the restaurant it was empty, and it was empty for the whole next our when we were there, so where was this rush coming from?
Secondly, two waitresses came to us and they serviced us with such unhappiness and irritation that at one point we were like ,,Are we supposed to be sorry for being here or what?”.
We were group of 6 woman and one boy. I don’t want to make any assumptions about the reason why we were treated like this but in the meantime other male clients came and they where serviced with the great kindness.
Moreover, service was so pushing about the bill that they came to us every 20 minutes asking if we want a receipt.
And don’t get me wrong, the food was great so for the kitchen there is a bravo, but with that service this is simply not worth it. And we weren’t the noisy tourists that are so openly commented in Spain, 4 form our 6 speaks perfect Spanish and lives there, and for two guests that we invited for dinner it was highly...
Read moreFirst night in Altea with the family on the eve of our twin girls’ bday. We were craving Indian food as we’ve been on the search this past month in Spain for authentic Indian food. My wife is from Punjab, so expectations are high.
The street is such a beautiful setting for dinner outside at night. The husband and wife owners visited our table to make sure everything was going well and we struck up a warm conversation. Throughout talking to them, we mentioned our girls were going to turn 8 years old within the hour. 20 minutes later, after we licked our plates clean (the food was incredible!), the owners told us to come inside and check out the restaurant. Without us knowing, the owners had one of their employees run down to a local bakery and buy a cake….came into the restaurant, had our girls sit down to happy birthday music playing and the entire inside of the restaurant singing and clapping to them. It was truly amazing, it really felt like spending time with family.
Thank you for the food and thank you for kick starting such a special birthday celebration for our girls! We will definitely be seeing you again before our stay in...
