We were staying at Paradise Park and to relight our tastebuds, decided to try our favourite curries. We were approached by the "Love India" tout. I told her my favourite curry was Lamb tikka roghan josh.. to be fair she kept saying our lamb special is great, but also said we would love all the food😳 She was very convincing! All couples looked strategically placed( far enough away so we couldn't discuss bad service. The music changed sporadically mid song like the cassette was chewed up. The staff weren't interested and had to be reminded to bring poppadums. My partner got his meal of chicken Tikka, not a prob! My supposed meal of lamb tikka roghan josh, came. The waiter hurriedly left. No one asked was everything ok. My special evening was ruined, when o was able to catch the waiters attention( my partner had finished his meal) he again brought up they do a great lamb special.... yes but not a lamb tikka roghan josh! If you can't make it don't try and pretend to even go there. He did remove it from the bill but that's not the point! I think you need to know that if you have a particular taste then this bland attempt at a curry house is just a franchise that throws some spices over meat n hopes for the...
Read moreMy worst experience ever in a restaurant. Firstly took about 20 minutes to have my order taken, asked for a high chair. I had to go and fetch it myself after 10 minutes of asking.
When order was finally being taken I asked if the kids chicken nuggets where milk free as my child has an allergy. The waiter told me he didn't know and just give my kid the chicken curry(which would have milk in it anyway). I said just leave it and then he went to go ask the chef.
He said it hasn't, so we proceeded with our order. After 30 minutes of waiting the waiter came over and said your order is nearly ready but there is no chicken nuggets. "Your child can have some of your food" he went on to say.
I asked for my bill for my drinks and just to leave the food. They still tried to get me to take my partners and I order.
Then I finally got my bill for only my drinks and was told only can pay buy card. I explained I only had cash and no one told us on arrival.
I had enough spare euros to pay and left, home to our hotel with no dinner and baby to bed on an empty stomach.
I don't ever review restaurants etc but this was...
Read moreWe went to the Spice of India when we were craving badly for some real good Indian food and the restaurant lived up to all our expectations. All preparations were really good and authentic (we had ordered for vegetarian as well as non vegetarian food , both). It takes time for them to get the food ready and served but they informed us about it in advance and we were in no hurry too. The food was served piping hot which was a delight in the cold Tenerife weather for us. The staff was very helpful (I am sorry, I have forgotten the name of the person who served our food to us but he was really sweet!) He gave great suggestions to us for our order , understood that we would be craving for some spicy food so he asked us himself of we wanted our food tonbe spicy and oh my! Spicy it was, and so good to taste buds after days of eating foreign cuisine. They were serving regular water and moreover did not charge is for it, something which surprised us in Europe. He even helped us with route and directions to El Tiede when we had to drive down there and the GPS of our rented car was...
