The Taurus Tornado: A Dining Disaster
At first glance, Taururas Restaurant seemed promising. The evening kicked off with a gigantic, pizza-like ham focaccia bread, served alongside some croquettes—simple but satisfying. However, that’s where the good times ended, and the experience spiraled into chaotic disarray.
The Downward Spiral
The first red flag appeared immediately—one of the croquettes had absolutely no filling. Just an empty, hollow shell of disappointment. But we brushed it off and waited for our mains… and waited… and waited some more.
Service was a mess. Tables weren’t cleared, meaning we had to physically ask before our mains could even be served. Other diners were getting prioritised, seemingly waved through ahead of us, despite arriving later. A tornado of waitstaff swirled around the room, yet bizarrely, no one actually seemed to be serving us. Drinks? Never offered. Refills? Nonexistent. A simple “Is everything okay?”? Not a chance.
When our mains finally arrived, they were lukewarm at best, missing key elements: • The baked potato? No cheese. • The sauces we ordered? Nowhere to be seen. • The presentation? More like an afterthought, with plates almost thrown onto the table.
The final insult was the manager’s complete lack of engagement. When we voiced concerns about the missing croquette filling (which, let’s be honest, is a pretty fundamental issue), he simply nodded and repeated “Si” as if trapped in some surreal restaurant nightmare. Then, when we pushed for clarification, he left to find someone who spoke English… and never returned.
The Final Blow
By the time we got to paying, the entire restaurant felt like it was teetering on the brink of collapse. Another table was openly complaining about similar issues, yet staff seemed indifferent. A small discount was offered at the till, but it was too little, too late.
Final Verdict
Taururas isn’t a restaurant—it’s a storm. Service was frantic yet inefficient, the food was inconsistent and often cold, and customer care was virtually nonexistent. Whether it was a bad night or a reflection of deeper problems, one thing is certain: I won’t be back to find out.
⭐ 1/5 – A dining experience...
Read morePlease consider somewhere else. Terrible experience - 2 of us dining last week in a restaurant that was less than half full. Waiters seemed very confused about who ordered what, we were brought other diners food and they tried to convince us that it was what we had ordered when clearly it wasn't. Simple drinks order took way too long to arrive as well. The icing on the cake though was the worst steak (by far) that I had ever been served. We ordered the bone-in ribeye to share at €50 - asked to be cooked medium. What was delivered was the most butchered steak I had ever seen - cut up by what looked to be a spoon and served rarer than rare. When we questioned this they brought us a gas cooker to the table along with a skillet and told us that we had to finish the steak ourselves - as soon as any part of a fat-marbled rib-eye hit the skillet, plumes of smoke engulfed us and every nearby diner! At no point did it mention this on the menu or did the waiter tell us this - bizarrely as well no other table had to cook their own food - strange! As I said at the start - if you are looking for a nice steak then please consider giving your money to another restaurant. If you want undercooked lumps of meat that you then have to try and finish cooking yourself whilst keeping smoke out of your eyes and apologising to all your fellow guests for ruining their night as well as your own, well this might just be the...

Constructive criticism.....
I have to say tho one of the servers were lovely polite & friendly ( gd looker curly hair) The rest are quite ignorant 😢 I feel that alot of staff due to you being a tourist are extremely rude 😳 I wasn't asked if my food was OK on either evening RUDE! It took 15mins to be offered a drink after being seated! IT WAS NOT BUSY TONIGHT😱 They also need to find a better work ethic regards to diners seating and tending to tables as the staff aren't very attentive which is supposed to be part of the service!!! There not designated to certain areas unfortunately which would simplify there job 3rd time lucky on Friday....for the chateaubriand I will...
