This is going to be a weird review but I want to put things in contrast. We saw this restaurant from the opposite one that we were visiting at that moment and it looked really nice, so we checked the reviews and we decided to come here. It was our fault though, we haven’t made a reservation, especially because it was Friday evening around 19 o’clock when we arrived. So we were strictly told there is not a chance to get a table without a booking for dinner. So we went outside and saw that the opposite restaurant was serving people also outside. So I went back in and asked if it is possible to get table outside, for there were 4 empty tables. Again, I was being strictly told no, “we don’t take outside”. So sadly, we left and spend our money in the opposite restaurant (Panorama) which has incredibly friendly staff. I understand that this french restaurant was busy, there were only two people serving, but they had half of the customers that the Panorama had, yet staff in Panorama have managed to seat us, be friendly with us and provide amazing food. We are sorry we weren’t able to taste the food in this restaurant as well. We wanted to come back the day after for lunch but the lady left us with such a bad impression, that we decided not to come. The reason why I am saying this is because my Gf and I work in the same field and I can never stress enough how important is the customer service and the staff in Panorama could write a book about customer service while here we were put off by a cold approach. Now I don’t want be a ..... , I am having bad days too, I am not always in the mood as well, but if you are running restaurant where you can charge easily over 100£ for dinner for two, I do expect little bit more than just “we don’t...

For starters, we had the fish soup, which is one of my favourite dishes. Well, it did not contain any actual fish only the resulting soup, which was a bit flavourless.
For the mains we had the duck magret and the surmullet. The magret was overcooked and not so hot, but the port and truffle sauce was good though. The surmullet was also overcooked (dry) and swimming in oil which completely overtook all the rest of the flavours.
We thought we would end on a positive note with the desert but the lemon merengue pie is absolutely not the best we've tried, flavours were flat and the pie lacked the citrus kick.
All in all, the service was good but we'll not go back as it did not reached our...
