The food is a 4/5 , service 5/5. This place has really good “base level” ingredients, they are of high quality and the execution is far better than many other places nearby. I give the food 4/5 because I wish they’d push themselves lightly to the next level - add more salt, add more lemon, herbs etc execution is 5/5 but a small push would also little a give more character to the dishes. We tried the simple tomato salad - don’t hesitate to go stronger on the onion, vinegar and salt to really elevate the great ingredients. For the Aroz marinaro (seafood paella) - don’t hesitate to add more salt, more lemon, more fish flavours if you want to keep the seafood portions “limited” but add character. For desert we got the crema catalana - very light, well executed but, again, try adding in a herb to the crema - rosemary? Lavender? - these simple small additions would have make us leave with our minds blown. However the service was 5/5 we were happy to leave the team a 20€ tip for their enthusiasm, kindness and attention to detail & requests (extra lemon, salt etc came out as soon as we asked for it). Also 5/5 for the wine selection - don’t hesitate to pick up the Polpo Albariño - great price, very mineral - great for fish. The menu is curated - all dishes coming from various parts of Spain - very creative and fun. I could easily see this place in the Michelin guide if they just pushed their flavours a little more and added in more personality to already great ingredients. Compliments to the whole team - I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place for anyone looking for something slightly more sophisticated than your average Spanish restaurant in the area.

Tio Martin is a true gem in the city! The food here is incredible and the staff are extremely knowledgeable, passionate and friendly. I came with a large party and the staff really knew how to entertain us and we're very attentive. The value you get here is great! Each dish is full of flavour and seasoned well. I ordered a few dishes including the tripe, I liked how soft they cooked it down but I felt the chorizo was a little overpowering., The Spanish omelette was very creamy inside. The padron peppers were nicely seasoned and blistered. The lamb I thought could have been a bit more tender but had good flavour. The cheesecake tasted different as I think they used goat milk which came through quite strong. The texture was nice and the passionfruit jelly on-top gave a nice tartness and helped cut the fat. And not to mentioned the complimentary bread was quite fun and a literal way to "break bread". Be sure to also order a glass of their natural wine as it's different than your usual glasses of reds. Overall I'd definitely come back as it was a nice break from all the touristy restaurants in the area.

Came here the other night after trying this place last time I came to Tenerife last March. Being a bit of o foodie I knew it was decent quality. Iordered the Russian salad which was tasty (but can't see what twist there was!? ) I then ordered the boiled Octopus Galician style. When it arrived I noticed it doesn't look anything like the pictures of it on Instagram that they have, as the potatoes underneath were finely cut and it was swimming in olive oil. Unfortunately the potatoes had soaked up so much olive oil that is all you could taste was olive oil and gave a slightly bitter aftertaste. After a couple of mouthfuls I realised that I will not enjoy this and did not eat it. After speaking to the manager as to why I did not enjoy it I think he got the wrong end of the stick because he brought a bottle of olive oil out and said this is what we use it's top quality. Anyway he asked if I would like to choose something else and he recommends the pigs cheeks (which I ordered last time I was here) and sure enough they were delicious. \asked for the bill and to my absolute shock horror they had left the Octopus on the bill for 21 euro!! I couldn't believe I tried to explain again but nothing ...anyway I didn't want to get into an argument so I paid leaving on good terms. I’ve attached the pictures of their Instagram pictures of the Galician Octopus they advertise and you will see they use different potato which will make huge difference ! Every restaurant makes mistakes from time to time and some more than others but it's the way they rectify the situation is the key. For a supposedly fine dining establishment to not listen to complaints about a dish from a genuine customer is really bad!! I would of liked to come here again but unfortunately I will not be returning after this experience and cannot recommend Also please note … why do you throw chips on top of a couple of your dishes ? It’s suppose to be an authentic Spanish restaurant… I had the Goat last time and looked like someone had grabbed a handful of chips and garnished the plate with them 🤦♂️

Service. Bad. Starting with booking. We tried to book a table online for 3 people for the dinner (at 16 o’clock) and the only time available for the same day was 21-00. We went without a booking (to 18-30) and the restaurant was almost empty. At least 5 tables were available for group of 3 people. Why they were unavailable online? Who knows… After we stepped in nobody welcomed us. We were just standing and waiting and nobody cared about it. 5 minutes later we practically got seated by our own, while 2 waitresses were having lunch at the corner table and paying no attention for customers. Our order was taken by the bartender. After that different person brought wine we ordered, another one brought the food and the third one brought the check. ————————————————— Food. Good but far from great. Tastes like something your aunt could cook. Nothing with flair, so not the true restaurant level. All dishes we tried had not enough flavor, or even salt. Very simple, even cod served in the very intriguing cover but taste like just cod fried in a pan without any additional ingredients. If you fancy simple homemade food that might be your right choice. If you’re expecting from the restaurant food something a bit more than what you can cook in your own kitchen, can’t recommend.

We had the best dinner experience in a while. Adrian took care of us since the beginning, suggested the wine and was ready to give us every information about the dishes. We were two adults and a child and we had: - croquetas caseras de bacalao, very tasty and light; - pimientos de padrón that came in a big plate but lasted 3 minutes; - rejo de pulpo a la plancha con puré de pata y aceite de pimentón which was amazing and served with a great presentation; - calamares fritos soft inside and perfectly fried; - homemade mousse de chocolate that was amazing but we were to fast eating that we forgot to take a picture. We tried a glass of white wine from Lanzarote suggested by Adrian and to finish we tried a liquor and a limoncello from Canarias. Wow, thanks to the staff for the amazing food and the outstanding service. Please visit this place while you are in Tenerife and you won't regret it.

This restaurant is definitely standing out of the usual old-fashioned, grobby/sloppy other restaurants you see around Las America. Modern looking, beautiful menu, great staff. 6 starts if possible. We went here twice and tried different things every time. All foods are outstanding, well cooked and with nice plating. The menu is divided in categories for different Spanish regions. Small menu, but very tasty and with classical Spanish dishes, but each with a pleasantly surprising twist. Staff is very friendly, joking and talking to us a bit about the restaurant history, in a very comfortable and cozy fashion, alghorugh the restaurant may look fancy. It is, but in a relaxed way (you don't need a suit and the staff is not rigid). We were offered liquor on the houses!
