Kejarta: Where Perfection Meets Paella

Nestled within walking distance of the Hollywood Mirage, Kejarta managed to lure me in not just once, but twice during my stay. And what was the magical draw? A duck dish cooked to sheer perfection. Now, for someone who usually dines at a different restaurant each night while travelling, you might say they had me at "quack."

The duck was an impeccable masterpiece, a culinary symphony of flavours and tenderness that left me yearning for more. It's the kind of dish that could make anyone a repeat visitor.

On my second visit, I ventured into the realm of paella, a Spanish classic that can be a hit or miss. Sadly, in this instance, it leaned towards the ordinary side. But, let's not dwell on the paella when the duck stole the show.

What truly sets Kejarta apart, aside from its culinary prowess, is the inviting atmosphere. Whether you prefer dining indoors or al fresco, they have you covered. The staff, a group of genuinely friendly individuals, seem to know the locals and regulars by name, creating a warm and welcoming ambience.

Now, let's talk about a pleasant surprise – the prices. Kejarta doesn't break the bank. In fact, you can enjoy multiple courses and drinks without feeling the pinch, with a bill averaging around £60 to £70.

In summation, Kejarta is a must-visit if you find yourself in the vicinity. Go ahead, order the duck – you won't regret it. I, for one, would gladly return...

A lovely warm and friendly welcome from the staff at the Jekarta Restaurant this evening. Situated within easy walking distance from Paradise Park Hotel and Dinastia Appartments. We received beautiful food that was well presented. From the pictures below, we had garlic bread, garlic bread with tomato and cheese, followed by a fillet of Pork with Roquefort cheese sauce, Canarian potatoes and vegetables (carrot, corquette, cabbage). The pork was so succulent, tender and juicy it just melted in the mouth. Both me and my husband had the same mains and we absolutely loved it. We also had two tasting sauces to go which worked well with the Canarian potatoes and our garlic breads. The creme brulé was lovely to and this was caramelized at the table which was very entertaining. My husband had a banana split which was artistically arranged. We also had a soft drink and a glass of house white wine each. Our bill came to €45 which we think is very good value for all our food and drinks. The price reflects the excellent food quality and attention to detail gone in to the preparation of each dish. When we asked for the bill we were given a complimentary shot of peach schnapps. The restaurant had a lovely cosy and welcoming atmosphere and I would highly recommend a meal out at this restaurant. I think it's a hidden gem that...

I ordered a starter and it was called Diablo Mix i do not reccommend ordering the Diablo Mix as it is supposed to come with clams mussells prawns and fish but i got 1 clam and 1 prawn and i did not get any fish of any kind at all and all the other clams were empty all the mussell shells were empty and had no mussells in them yet this cost €7.90 which is ridiculous and then the main was nice but when i got the bill at the end the woman i complained to said people only complain at the start and that people should only complain at the start on top of that she also said that the bill is etc and did not even apologise nor ackknowledge that i did compliment the main course by the way which was steak and she was very rude when i did complain. I DO NOT RECCOMMEND THESE AT ALL AND IN ALL HONESTY I WOULD SHUT THEM DOWN! ABSOLUTELY RUDE SERVICE AND COMPLETELY DISGUSTED WITH HOW THEY RESPONDED WHEN A COMPLAINT WAS MADE THEY HAVE NO CARE FOR CUSTOMER SATISFACTION AT...

It does not look fancy outside but they know how to cook and serve. Welcoming and serving is briljant. They seemed to have full flexibility on changes you might want to your order. They ask and suggest changes you might like to have, but don't push those. Really smooth service. Orange duck was excellent as well as duck in honey. Both even look nice. There was crispy skin and meat was with nice structure. And I felt there was plenty of duck. Canaria potatoes with mojos were delicious, might even be their own mojo sause not any industrial. If you happen to be anywhere close (like in tenerife) it is worth the visit.

AN ABSOLUTE HIDDEN GEM Just had a superb meal at Kejarta. Mixed Diablo to start (mixed fish/seafood in a spicy tomato sauce) with gluten free brioche. Wife had the garlic prawns, large and plentiful. Pork with fried onions, chips and veg for my main. Sounds plain but it all melds together beautifully to create a taste sensation. Wife had chicken curry with rice, chips and veg which she absolutely loved. As always we were well looked after by the inimitable Roberto. Highly recommend a visit if you have not tried before, you won't be disappointed.
