Kejarta: Where Perfection Meets Paella
Nestled within walking distance of the Hollywood Mirage, Kejarta managed to lure me in not just once, but twice during my stay. And what was the magical draw? A duck dish cooked to sheer perfection. Now, for someone who usually dines at a different restaurant each night while travelling, you might say they had me at "quack."
The duck was an impeccable masterpiece, a culinary symphony of flavours and tenderness that left me yearning for more. It's the kind of dish that could make anyone a repeat visitor.
On my second visit, I ventured into the realm of paella, a Spanish classic that can be a hit or miss. Sadly, in this instance, it leaned towards the ordinary side. But, let's not dwell on the paella when the duck stole the show.
What truly sets Kejarta apart, aside from its culinary prowess, is the inviting atmosphere. Whether you prefer dining indoors or al fresco, they have you covered. The staff, a group of genuinely friendly individuals, seem to know the locals and regulars by name, creating a warm and welcoming ambience.
Now, let's talk about a pleasant surprise – the prices. Kejarta doesn't break the bank. In fact, you can enjoy multiple courses and drinks without feeling the pinch, with a bill averaging around £60 to £70.
In summation, Kejarta is a must-visit if you find yourself in the vicinity. Go ahead, order the duck – you won't regret it. I, for one, would gladly return...
Read moreA lovely warm and friendly welcome from the staff at the Jekarta Restaurant this evening. Situated within easy walking distance from Paradise Park Hotel and Dinastia Appartments. We received beautiful food that was well presented. From the pictures below, we had garlic bread, garlic bread with tomato and cheese, followed by a fillet of Pork with Roquefort cheese sauce, Canarian potatoes and vegetables (carrot, corquette, cabbage). The pork was so succulent, tender and juicy it just melted in the mouth. Both me and my husband had the same mains and we absolutely loved it. We also had two tasting sauces to go which worked well with the Canarian potatoes and our garlic breads. The creme brulé was lovely to and this was caramelized at the table which was very entertaining. My husband had a banana split which was artistically arranged. We also had a soft drink and a glass of house white wine each. Our bill came to €45 which we think is very good value for all our food and drinks. The price reflects the excellent food quality and attention to detail gone in to the preparation of each dish. When we asked for the bill we were given a complimentary shot of peach schnapps. The restaurant had a lovely cosy and welcoming atmosphere and I would highly recommend a meal out at this restaurant. I think it's a hidden gem that...
