Victoria — Restaurant in Arona

Visited tonight for desert and coffee accidentally walked out and left my purse on the table turned back maybe 5 mins later, no new customer were at table so I looked around and under table, when I asked I was told the waitress was at the toilet and I would need to wait for her, I waited and as soon as I asked she said no no purse was there without even looking either around table or behind bar she was not aware we had already checked while she was in the toilet, she acted very defensive looks to me like she acted very strange and guilty, the day after I left this review someone from the restaurant contacted me to say I was welcome to check their CCTV, I contacted them twice to arrange this!! It was rubbish the matreddi had attitude,he brought the wine I hadn't even finished the taster( which I don't normally do as I usually know what I'm paying for..not a problem) before the glass was sat back down on the table before he poured the rest and walked away and when the waitress implored us to take the special "fillet Rossini" that we asked to be cooked rare& medium both arrived well done the crouton was like chalk shattered to the touch the supposedly Goose pate was tasteless,the veg over steamed all in all a really bad experience.. won't be returning..sad for them as if we normally find a restaurant we like in the space of a fortnight we would return at least 2 or 3 times.....

The staff were quick enough to sit us down, offering us a better table when one was free. I had fillet steak with pepper sauce. The sauce tasted like gravy with peppers in it. It had a strange aftertaste. I didn't complain, the actual steak was OK but without much flavour. We tried to pay separately as we were 2 friends and another lady from the same hotel. The waiter was very rude when we made this request, saying we should have told them before and it wasn't possible. They then started stacking the tables around us(we weren't the only people there) and this was well before 10.00pm..Needless to say, we won't...
