Das La Mar de Vins in Arta. Viel Chi chi wenig Aha.

Wartezeit. lauwarme Speisen

The La Mar de Vins in Arta. Much chi chi little aha. Looking for a restaurant in Arta, we stumbled upon the restaurant rather by chance. The menu promised vegetarian dishes so perfect for the three of us. At the first moment we were enchanted by the garden, which is located behind the restaurant. This was designed lovingly and very inviting. One felt directly like in the Garden of Eden. The two lemon trees exude a wonderful fresh scent. A big praise for that. The menu is broad and thus offers something for everyone.

We opted for simple drinks. Since we still had to drive. So there were soft drinks and a Homemade Lemonade. The ready made drinks were okay. The homemade lemonade was tüchtig sour. Too sour for us. But that's a matter of taste, so we won't go into it. For dinner we had bread with aioli. As a main course, a normal and a vegan burger.

The appetizer came quickly to the place. The aioli was okay but also not the burner. After that, the burgers should actually reach our palate promptly. But they did not! The waiting time for two dishes was clearly too long. Especially with burgers and Co. These are fast movers, so it should not come to such glaring waiting times even with fresh preparation. Speak here with gastronomic background. Both burgers were unfortunately only lukewarm and also the Beefburger stood apparently longer at the control. Too bad, both dishes have potential. There was unfortunately also not the demand, whether everything was okay. This is basic gastronomic etiquette. A faux pas that should not occur even in a casual soul food kitchen.

All in all, a mixed visit and I can only share the opinion of a fellow blogger. Good but not perfect, wait time too long.

This place exceeded every single expectation I had. Came here for lunch, food is just outstanding. Everything we ordered was fresh, natural and absolutely delicious. The terrace/inside patio is gorgeous: lots of trees, birds and sunlight. Super relaxing. The staff was lovely, they took excellent care of us which was a big bonus because we could tell it was a very busy time. We booked a table beforehand and gladly so, it would have been a shame to miss out on dining here. 100%...

Nice space but don’t bring your children here.

Our 15 month baby was quietly playing in a 20cm wide space of their gravel backyard, away from all customers. Yet the female owner came over to his mother and told her she had to pick him up (“this is a restaurant, not a park”) ... then later told me some fantasy that if children played, she’d have to pay special people to rearrange the gravel.

Look at the photo below and judge for yourself how much “devastation” you think...

Beautiful garden, nice staff and delicious healthy food! We came twice for dinner, because the food was so yummy :) The zucchini noodles, beetroot burger, vegetable wok, catch of the day, goat salad, orange and figue ice cream were all 10/10! A must go in Arta! Update (8.24): Unfortunately after one year the same menu😔Some new dishes in a while would be great, so that it remains interesting to visit again.
