Anita Gelato — Restaurant in Barcelona

Ice cream that intrigued me for the recent opening, for the presence in other cities of the world, for the above average price of the city (Barcelona) and because reading the reviews of other users and looking at the abundant photos I noticed that they offered a very rich ice cream, with pieces of whole ingredients (which I really appreciate a lot in an excellent ice cream). Let's start with the flavors we ordered: Biscuit taste: I was very disappointed, extremely sweet, without a definite flavor, it didn't taste like biscuit at all. Just sweet with no taste. 1/5 Wafer taste: same thing, unnecessarily too sweet and little nutty flavor. 1/5 The chocolate, almond and caramel flavor is actually caramel flavor with chocolate caramelized almonds. You can’t feel at all the taste of the almond,despite being very present as the sweetness of the ice cream completely covers the flavor, a real shame. 1/5 Mascarpone with ricotta and strawberry: they made a mistake and instead served us white chocolate and strawberries; nice that it had whole pieces of white chocolate inside very tasty, it would have been nice to have also pieces of fresh strawberries. 2/5 Milk chocolate and pretzel: really non-existent chocolate taste, good pretzel sauce...

I ordered a small cone with two flavors, the chocolate cookie one and the seasonal flavor which was watermelon and mint. The chocolate cookie was great as usual, it had a good depth of flavor and was not too sweet. The watermelon and mint was very refreshing and great for a hot summer day. The balance of flavors was also great. The staff was polite and fast. There was a decent selection of flavors, although not as many summer flavors as some other gelaterias. The store also had a great ambience with quite some seating options inside as well. Not the cheapest gelato place (it was 5.8€ for a small option and 6.6€ for medium) but also not something that breaks the bank. Overall, I definitely...

The greenberry drink that is overly popular on Tiktok (strawberry, pistacho and kataif) is just that - a popular scam. The wait in line is not worth it, the pistacho cream is just sweet cream with barely pistacho taste, the whole combination being a way too sweet taste. The other one - the snowberry with strawberries, whipcream (which is bland and very chemical-like) and chocolate is again not worth it. Also, the Greenberry drink created really bad digestive problems for us. My advice is - don’t believe everything influencers post on social media.
