Bar Vinil — Restaurant in Barcelona

I really liked the interior with plenty of musical references, from Descendents to Silver Jews, which clearly shows the bar owner is passionate about music. Big thumbs up for all the writings on the walls supporting tolerance and resistance against oppression.

However, I had a disappointing experience with the bartender. While I try to speak the local language as much as I can and can get by in Spanish, I didn’t know the specific name of the West Coast IPA they had on tap. So I ordered it by style - in English. The bartender didn’t seem to understand what I was asking for, and once he realized we were foreigners, his tone changed noticeably. He poured the beer (fortunately, it was the right one), didn’t say a word, and just pointed to the card machine for payment.

As someone who owns a bar, I understand that staff can be under pressure or have an off day - I've seen it firsthand. But that didn’t seem to be the case here. It just felt unwelcoming.

The place is cosey and relaxed, good place for a beer. But we wanted to order red wine🍷 but the barman told me that he didn't have it in the fridge... I gues nobody drinks red wine here🙄 so we ordered white instead Which was okay. We also asked for a bottle of water, which sadly never came... So after one glass we moved on to the next bar...

Fuimos el sabado por la noche. Lugar muy bonito, pero servicio pésimo. Una de las chicas pasaba más tiempo al móvil que atendiendo los clientes, muy muy lenta y al pedirle dos copas de Montsant nos contestó con una forma muy mala que no tenían. Nos propone entonces otro tinto, vale. Después de 10 minutos viene la otra chica preguntando que habíamos pedido porque su compañera se habia olvidado lo que queríamos. Nos sirven las dos copas, un vino horrible, intentamos seguir tomandolo para no molestar pero en serio no se podía tomar. Aviso la chica que pero no nos da ninguna alternativa, trato pésimo. Le pido la cuenta devolviendo las dos copas prácticamente llenas, le pedí si podía por lo menos no cobrar una pero no, 10,20 euros para una Galicia y una botellita de agua, el vino directamente al fregadero. Le pido el ticket para poder por lo menos comprobar lo que estábamos pagando ya que la cuenta nos la sacó con la calculadora sin picar nada en la caja, se tardó unos 4 minutos manejando esa caja para sacar un ticket correspondiente al precio que nos...
