Attention — this place is out of this universe! I am not the type of person who spreads 5 stars for no reason and tend to be critical, but this place? How can it be real and now world famous? I tasted vegan food in probably 15 countries, and NEVER have I been so impressed by the quality of the food. Please try the vegan egg Benedict and you won’t believe it. Even the non-vegans will be bewildered, I am sure of it. The cheese cake—- forget the boring thick, dense cashew-based cheesecake. This is some special oven baked vegan cheese cake that’s creamy, fluffy and nothing short of spectacular. In addition, I had a lengthy chat with the wonderful owner and really wonderful chef/servant. Asante is one of the most amazing vegan breakfast places I have ever visited. Service is super friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is sweet with some plants, though it could still be improved a little, and unfortunately, there are no outdoor seating options available. I had the vegan Eggs Benedict, and it was one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. The combination of ingredients was perfectly balanced. In my opinion, the vegan egg tasted impressively close to a real chicken egg. Everything else on the plate was just as delicious, and you could really tell it was all homemade. I also tried one of their cakes — very tasty and a perfect sweet finish to the meal. Definitely a place you should visit!

The Eggs Benedict dish is just off the hook. These guys don’t have a big menu, just a few items and deserts, but what they do – they do REAL WELL. I’ve been vegan for 8 years, and eaten in many places around the world, both simple and fancy. I’ve never seen “eggs” like this. I literally paused to look closer because when the poached egg started leaking yolk, my mind was like woooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat just happened!?!? Cheesecake also really good, tastes more like a ricotta rather than the typical super creamy vegan versions. Coffee (just got black) is ridiculously good, tons of flavor.
