Came in one late (weekday) morning looking for brunch, we were greeted by the very friendly owner and got sat straight away in the front of the shop. The atmosphere is amazing, a very well decorated space along with very little noise; overall a very nice and welcoming coffee shop. After some very lovely chitchat with the owner, we ordered food and drinks from the massive selection on the menu and he was also very accommodating - I asked for a shot of espresso in my hot chocolate, and he delivered just that.
We were served rather quickly and received food that was presented beautifully. You can tell that they use extremely fresh and high quality ingredients in the dishes, as all the food is delicious and perfectly prepared. It was also a good surprise to see fresh oranges and strawberries be delivered to be used in the various drinks and dishes. The staff accidentally made an extra coffee and offered it to us on the house, along with some very enjoyable talk about the food, customers, staff and what they strive for at the coffee shop (which is nothing short of perfection).
We HAD to come back on a Saturday morning, when there was unfortunately a little bit of a queue outside. However, the staff were quick to let people in and we were sat down in the back of the shop in less than 10 minutes. The owner recognised us and apologised for the (very short) wait, being super friendly as always. We ordered and were served with the same amazing quality, in not much more time than our previous visit, despite the many more people also ordering. The owner also brought out a dish that wasn’t yet available, on the house (Turrón Cheesecake - strongly recommended once it is on the menu).
Overall, consistently amazing food, at a reasonable price served by very friendly staff in a welcoming and cozy coffee shop. What more could...
Read moreRecently stopped by here on a recent trip to Barcelona, following reading the amazing reviews! I can for sure say, this place lives up to the hype! We arrived on a Saturday morning around 10:30 and had to wait for around 10m for seating - which we were more than happy to do. The place is walk in only, something to bare in mind when you visit. We were shown to our table and attended to warmly and quickly. I like the use of a QR code to look at the menu on your phone, and the English translated menu within this! My friend ordered a juice with beetroot and ginger, which we both felt was great, with a good kick of ginger. For food I ordered the classic pancakes (without flaked almonds). These pancakes were incredible and fresh out the pan. They were so so fluffy and cooked perfectly (something which can be difficult with pancakes!), and had an amazing crisp on the edges. There was the perfect ratio of pancake to syrup to cream provided. The cream added a nice cool addition to the hot pancakes. The fresh fruit also, as well as some more variety in texture. If I was going to be very picky, a few more raspberries and blueberries would have been fab, but the pancakes were truly amazing as they were! My friend ordered the nordic, and thoroughly enjoyed this also! The place was quaint and the decor - wonderfully quirky, with some awesome artwork! The toilets were also very clean, which is highly appreciated and worth a note! We also felt the prices was very reasonable. I would strongly urge visiting here for a great breakfast/brunch spot, with a special recommendation going to the pancakes! The hospitality and warmth of ALL the staff was also very memorable - i look forward to coming back sometime...
Read moreThis place is THE place which made me to come here from all over from the UK and it was the first place I visited after I arrived and it is going to be the last I will visit tomorrow before I leave.
I have been here 3 mornings in a row, their coffees are absolutely amazing equally their flat white and their cortado as well. The service is what I call professional and fairly quick (to be fair this is not that kind of a place where you just want to rush anyway) and the food!!!! well that's what I call EX-CEP-TIO-NAL!!!! I've had salmon bagel in the first day and their molinet brunch yesterday and today I just let them to bring something with avocado and scrumbled eggs and they all were absolutely gorgeous and supertasty. And because they already so filling I never get the chance to try their sweet breakfasts which by the way look absolutely lovely.
Also what I want to mention coming from the UK I'm so grateful this café has the "no laptop" rule and I don't have to watch "droids" (as I call them) whil e I'm having my breakfast/brunch and actually whatever they're trying to achieve it it could easily evolve to a movement and make people to go back to proper socialising and actually start having a conversation with each other. While I was there I've heard many different accents and nobody was on their phone or laptop - they were actually having a proper conversation.
There is something magical in this place for me clearly and I can't wait to come back again and whenever it happens my first destination will be Steff's...
