I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bar Betlem, and overall, it was an enjoyable experience. Our group of six had made a reservation in advance and were seated on the first floor, where we could relish our evening meal.
One of the highlights of our visit was the excellent selection of dishes designed for sharing. The menu offered a variety of options, allowing us to indulge in a diverse range of flavors. The quality of the food was impressive, and each dish was thoughtfully prepared, showcasing a blend of enticing ingredients.
The staff at Bar Betlem provided attentive service throughout the evening, guiding us through the menu and ensuring that our dining experience was smooth and enjoyable. Their knowledge and professionalism added to the overall satisfaction of our meal.
The ambiance on the first floor of the restaurant was pleasant, providing a comfortable setting for our group. The relaxed atmosphere allowed us to engage in conversation and fully enjoy our time together.
It's important to note that the prices at Bar Betlem are relatively higher, with some dishes costing up to 19 euros per plate. While the quality of the food justified the pricing to some extent, it may be a consideration for those with budget constraints.
In conclusion, Bar Betlem offered a delightful shared dining experience for our group of six. The excellent selection of dishes and the quality of the food were commendable. The attentive service and pleasant ambiance added to our overall enjoyment. However, it's worth mentioning that the higher prices may be a factor to consider when dining...

2nd of all fantastic...
3rd of all.. you know.
About details, this place was very close where we stayed like 300m away. So i was looking a place to have quick bite and in the meantime delicious then I found Bar Betlem..
Small place with 10 tables and 40+ sitting.
Oh boy we were 1st under impression that initially when we landed we were so hungry and because of that we loved everything we had but we were wrong... On our 2 days we did go there again! TWICE! And everything was even better.
We did not try everything but we have tried same things all around Barcelona. 7-8 places in 3 days we tasted. And all were 4.4 stars and up on Google reviews.. Also watched lots of local guide videos on Youtube.
Patatas Bravas: 2nd place, lacking Aioli, maybe? Bread with tomato sauce: 1st place by far... Wine Suggestion: 1st place for the price. We got a fantastic glass of wine less than 3 Euros...
Fried Octopus: 1st place without competition. Oh G.. fried Octopus is always a dilemma with me. Because delicate taste of Octopus can be overpowered with frying.. Thats why we always ate Galician steamed Octopus in Barcelona except Bar Betlem But this was opposite. Octopus with frying (super lightly) was elevated the taste and Hummus and pickles together was making a festival in mouth..
Calamari: 1st place but cannot tell it was fantastic. It was really really good...
Service: Top 3. Great service with great deal of seriousness.
Overall 5 star place. We enjoyed every visit. 3 times...
Read moreA cute corner spot catering to both locals and tourists. This was our first meal in Barcelona, and my favorite tapas out of five casual places we tried.
Pan Con Tomate - A staple dish everywhere and this place did it the best! More tomatoes and not too heavy on the olive oil.
King Crab Ravioli - I don't associate ravioli with tapas, but the reviews here were right - this was amazing! The ravioli skin was so light and delicate, and that crab filling was heavenly. The coconut flavor was evocative of Thai Tom Kha Ga soup.
Ham and Cheese Croquette - Deep fried and filled with a good ratio of ham and cheese. Simple and satisfying.
Grilled Octopus - Served with eggplant and roasted red pepper. The octopus was quite tender, and the smoky eggplant reminded me of babaganoush. Great combo with the red peppers.
Cheese Plate - Came with great onion jam dip, hazelnuts, and crostini. The assorted goat and lamb cheeses had a nice range from soft and funky to grassy and hard.
Lunch was about 50 euro for two. A little pricey for a casual spot, but the tapas were higher quality and the service was friendly.
I enjoyed the tapas with a glass of white wine and espresso while waiting for my hotel check-in. Not a bad way to kick off the trip and especially needed after 24 hours...
