Interesting vintage Place, which lives from its image and reputation. Nice interior decor. Food was ok up to good, although a bit pricy. Big downside : rude, slow, and unfriendly service. Very inattentive, they completely ignore you actually. It was okay to us, since we were already warned about the bad service beforehand . Long waiting times, almost at the edge of being unacceptable. Catalan people were served before us. It seems that they don’t want any tourists or non Catalan speaking people in this place , which is surprising and short sided in the end. In that area with so many hotels and expats, how can you not be accommodating and welcoming to foreigners and non-Catalans?! Puzzling. But since they are out of concurrence , we guess , they will carry on that sad and depressing attitude. It is very sad for them. At the end of the day, the bad service didn’t ruin our evening , but we also would not recommend Cafe Del Centre to other people from Berlin visiting Barcelona. What happened to Daniel Brühl by...

The food is outstanding — every dish is prepared with care and bursts with flavor. The menu offers both classic Spanish favorites and beautifully crafted modern touches. I particularly loved the attention to detail in presentation, and the balance of textures and flavors was just perfect.
The staff is warm, welcoming, and truly makes you feel at home. Service is attentive without ever being intrusive, and you can tell they take pride in what they do. And Quim is the best person and the most welcoming person!

Read moreI had an absolutely wonderful experience at this restaurant! From the moment I walked in, the staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between cozy and elegant, making it just as great for lunch , casual night out as for a special occasion.
The food was outstanding — every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients and the care put into every detail. My absolute favorite is the beef tartar which was perfect. Even the sides and desserts felt thoughtfully crafted rather than an afterthought, specially the flan (which I ate in one bite ) it was sooo good !!
✨ A special thanks to Quim, Ariel, and Niurka for making it truly unforgettable — their warmth and attention to detail elevated the whole experience.
