We went to visit the Park Güell in the morning and when we were finished we wanted to try the famous Spanish paella. We decided we would walk back towards where we were staying and find something along the way. Oh glad I am that we did that, because if we didn’t we wouldn’t have found this little gem. The staff were very nice and able to understand basic English which we, as tourists were extremely grateful for and made the experience a lot easier to communicate and order our meals. We all ordered a paella - chicken, and seafood paella options. Whilst we waited a little bit this was because they were cooking the dish fresh and served in an individual skillet pan. The paella itself was delicious, I had multiple paella’s during my Barcelona stay and none so far have topped this one. It was so soft and just melted in your mouth. Extremely generous serving dishes so if you aren’t very hungry I would recommend to share one plate. They were also very reasonably priced and relatively cheap for the quality meal we received. The restaurant itself was empty when we arrived which may be more to do with the time of day we arrived (around 11:45am when they opened at 10am). Despite this the restaurant was neat and clean, and had a cool display of different greetings on their overhead wall that provided a unique quality above others we visited later. Overall a great and cheap place to get good quality paella and I will be...
Read moreWe went to this restaurant because of 4.1/5. Unfortunately, it was the worst experience we had in Barcelona. I wondered if they are qualified to make Spanish food & titled as one of the Spanish restaurant. We all were disappointed and did not enjoy the dining experience totally. First, this is the first time in Barcelona we were chased to order drinks by the waitress again and again even after we expressed that we were thinking about it & looking at the menu. Second, while we were waiting the food (waited for 20mins; seats in the restaurant were 70% empty) change seats with no reason. Third, we ordered paella which is mostly terrible. It is not authentic Spanish cuisine. It tastes like mixed with other unknown spice. The ingredients are so little. A few small pieces of chicken; another one is a few seafood. Rice is not fully cooked. Fourth, we asked for the bill first, another customers asked her to have the bill after us. The waitress asked them to wait for 5 mins but dunno why, she asked them to pay the bill while we were, again, waiting though we asked for the bill earlier. The dining experience in terms of service, food, was terrible. If you want authentic Spanish cuisine or a normal meal, highly recommend you...
Read moreMy family and I came here by accident while looking for lunch after visiting Park Guell. We were VERY pleased! Throughout our trip my brother had ordered many paella, as he LOVES it, after having the paella here he said it was the best one he had on our trip! The rice was perfectly cooked, the dish was wonderfully seasoned, and the proteins were tender and juicy! I had the carbonara and was extremely pleased! My parents shared the fungi pizza and were both very pleased! We also shared the tomato bread and grilled shrimp, both were wonderful and the shrimp was AMAZINGLY flavored and juicy! My parents and I ordered both the sangria cava and vino and loved both, my mom even said that the sangria vino might have been the best one we had this trip and my brother said the same of his mojito! We absolutely loved everything we ordered and left with happy tastebuds and bellies! Will definitely be back if I get another opportunity to visit this...
