Dionisos 🥙⚡️ It’s Basically a Blessing from Olympus I had been on a mission not just to eat, but to find a proper gyros in Barcelona. You know, the kind where the chicken is so juicy, so perfectly seasoned, that it feels like you are kissing Zeus on the cheek and he’s smiling back with pride.
So for a special lunch with friends, we booked Dionisos and it turned out to be exactly the kind of place that delivers more than just a meal.
From the very first bite of tzatziki, I knew we were in for something proper. Creamy, tangy, ice-cold, and paired with soft, warm pita. Simple, yes, but done perfectly. And then… the gyros.
Juicy chicken, a hint of char, fresh toppings, soft pita, and that first bite where everything melts together.
The staff were relaxed, kind, and handled our group with zero stress like they’d hosted hundreds of lively gatherings before and still meant every “enjoy your meal.” The whole place had that warm, effortless Greek energy ;)
We came in celebrating, and left feeling like the celebration found us.
Will I be back? Absolutely. With friends, or solo, or for no reason at all. Because sometimes, you just need a little taste...

It was simply okay when disregarding that, but it's absurd to serve Greek food without any salad or at least oil for the bread, which clearly was the cheapest dryest thing they could buy and not at all homemade, or good for that matter.
What was good was that not all of the staff was rude and that the atmosphere was rather nice. This place would be good if they put more effort into what they serve than just using the Greek cuisine as a cover to seem more exotic.
In general, don't listen to the number of stars a restaurant has on Google maps if it's in a...

The staff are warm, welcoming, and always spot on with their recommendations. On our most recent visit, we were served by Diego, who was absolutely fantastic — incredibly friendly, helpful, and with a natural charm that made our experience even more enjoyable. His service skills and warm demeanor truly stood out.
