Billy Brunch Headquarters — Restaurant in Barcelona

Disclaimer: I cannot speak to the quality of food…we never got that far.

We were a group of 5. We arrived and were told there was a 5-10 min wait (no problem). Then we were told a table was ready for us but it was a shared long table (also fine). When we were being shown to the table the people already sitting at one end told the host that they had more people coming to join them. Rather than telling them that wasn’t okay and they can’t hold space, the host instead accommodated them and offered us the “garden”. (Not clear why we were deprioritised).

Unfortunately garden is a generous term. The outdoor space is more like a utility room or overflow storage with one or two tables. Nevertheless by this point we were so hungry that we said we could work with it. After another 10 minutes of looking at the menu another employee (possibly a manager?) came out and informed us they could not serve food in the garden.

We were told that in another 10 minutes they would be able to get us one table for 2 and one table for 3 that weren’t next to each other. At that point we lost hope and called it. They had already wasted 20 min of our time and I had lost confidence they wouldn’t waste another 20 min.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice. The food we could see looked good. But the management of the restaurant / the service really missed for us....

Don’t waste anymore time, GO TO BILLYS!

We have been in Barcelona a month now and tried a number of Brunch spots (my favourite meal!) and I can without a doubt say that Billy’s Brunch & Park is 100/10!

The menu is a mouth-watering mixture of flavours and the drink options are to die for!

We started with drinks. Coffees and I had a hot chocolate. Can we just take a minute to appreciate the art that came along with my HC (Picture below) and yes, you guessed it, it tasted DEVINE! I had avo on toast with eggs and it was magical, especially for what seems like a simple dish. And they actually made sure my bacon was CRISPY, which a lot of places, in my opinion, don’t really understand the definition of. My partner had chakchouka, which wasn’t on his plate for long, with a side order of scrumptious sausage. Our friends had similar options and loved them!

The staff are absolutely excellent! They are so welcoming and joyful. They make you feel apart of the Billy’s family, especially when they say “please come back soon!”, it’s said with authenticity!

This is exact why we have been 5 TIMES! Sadly tomorrow we are onto our next adventure but of course, not without a Billy’s Brunch to start...
