Absolutely brilliant hotel in the city centre of Barcelona. When we arrived they offered us an upgraded room (at a cost of course) which we took, and it was well worth it. It was a superior room on the top floor. They even gave us a glass of prosecco for the upgrade! The room was very modern, clean and comfortable, it was well laid out, but on the small side. We had a window which looked onto the street. The bed was a large queen and was very comfortable. The room came with a bath which was great also. The air conditioning is fine, if not a little under powered but there is also an overhead fan which helps with the issue. There is a coffee maker and complimentary water which was great. The hotel itself is very modern and clean. The staff are also extremely helpful and kind and would greet you coming into the hotel. We didn't get breakfast here, but there is a great restaurant across the street that does fantastic breakfasts if you don't fancy eating at the hotel The only issue I had was with the hot water for the tap and shower. For some reason you have to leave the water running on hot for maybe 2 or 3 minutes, sometimes longer, before you get any hot water at all. And while doing this the tap is very loud because it pushes air through the pipes quickly and sputters water. Then when the hot water eventually comes on and you hop into the shower, it will get piping hot and then freezing cold randomly throughout. The hot water is also incredibly hot so be careful and never turn up the heat too high. The rooftop bar is very nice and the cocktails are great and a reasonable price. The pool as everyone mentions is small but it's great just to sit in and relax in the Barcelona heat. You won't be practicing your back stroke unfortunately but it is very nice to cool off. Other than that great hotel in a good location, just about a 10 minute walk from Placa De Catalunya, with different bus stops outside and a metro about 5 minutes away.

This is a great hotel. Perfect location. Everywhere is walkable. Great staff too - everyone was warm friendly and welcoming (the glass of Cava upon arrival was a nice touch!). My room (709) was very spacious had great views from the balcony. Plus it contained everything I needed and even the things it didn’t have - an iron, a kettle - all I had to do was ask reception and they sorted me out in record time. A few issues - a few of the power points in my room didn’t work, also I wish I had known in advance that my massage at the Despacio spa was going to be done by a man (I couldn’t relax in the same way as if it was a woman) but the main issue for me was the lack of good sound insulation the rooms. At first I asked to be moved because I was next to a couple and their young child, all of whom were really noisy. My request was accommodated, and I was moved to another room but unfortunately my neighbours on that floor turned out to be noisy too - playing loud music until after midnight. I hardly slept the first night and I had to be up at 6am for a tour. Noisy inconsiderate guests aren’t the hotels fault, but if the sound insulation was better maybe I wouldn’t have heard absolutely everything? Unfortunately reception didn’t have any earplugs (but they did try!) Either way, overall it was a great stay. I would definitely recommend this place, and I would definitely stay there again too. I would just hope and pray that I’d be placed next to more considerate guests next time :)

Location is great. Walkable to so much in Barcelona. Our suite was beautifully renovated. The front desk staff are kind and they do a good job handling the crowd and they do everything they can to help. However, there are just too many small details that had a big impact on our stay, so I would definitely not stay here in the future. - the walls / floors seem to be thin. Two of our nights, the kids could not fall asleep, and we had difficulty sleeping because of lots of noise from surrounding units. - the design of the shower causes lots of water to leak between the glass shower wall and the glass shower door. - the irons are terrible. We asked for more than one. No steam iron and no steamer available. - there’s a towel warmer, but it does not work. - the gym is small, which is fine. However, the equipment falls short. There are no free weights or dumbbells. There’s one multi function weight machine, but some of the cables have been broken, not everything works, and some of the things that do work are not in an optimal position. For example, you can’t fully extend your arms when doing biceps curls. Very unsatisfying. (Just FYI, only one elevator will take you to the eighth floor to get to the gym.) - the breakfast food is fine. It was super busy and crowded and a bit chaotic. The staff were somewhat overwhelmed. Again, it’s a nice hotel and it checks all the big ticket boxes. However, if some of the details above matter to you, you might get frustrated here.

The reason I choose this hotel was that they had a functional spa. I check notification on the site and there was nothing saying its going to be shut, and more importantly that the hydrosuites were out of order! Very dissapointed since there were tones of hotel of which I could book with. So felt this was slightly deceitful to say the least. However, the staff were nice, especially Nelson thr guy that checked us in and his English language skills were brilliant and hygiene wise was immaculate, very impressed. We have had a "Merry Christmas mini chocolate" to wish us on Christmas eve and every day complimentary coffee for our nespresso machine in the room and a bottle of water. Also the roof terrace is only used to order food from the hotel which was rather annoying. The breakfast is in a basement room without any sun or windows and rather packed tables, so for the price of 19 euros I found it rather inappropriately priced and not a feature of a good four star hotel. The room was small, we could hardly pass through the furniture and the bed. Although I have to say the bed and pillows were really comfortable, sadly there were two beds connected which again wasn't ideal, since I asked for double room. The room was hot during the night and the air conditioning was making the atmosphere extremely dry, so not great. Perhaps choose the deluxe rooms that are located internally, which means you could open the windows and not have extreme noice. They are doing some works in the hotel therefore maybe in the future they will revamp. Check it out if you want to book the next months and make sure you ask if the spa facilities are fully working (they will though charge you high if they are e.g 48 euros per hour per person to use the steam room!). Last but not least room service in a four star hotel shouldn't be charged, at the end of the day this isn't a bed and breakfast right? . It's a hotel and I am paying a lot to stay in and to use the facilities, so I definately thought this wasn't a feature for a four star hotel. Hope this helps the hotel and the...

A lovely hotel, staff were very helpful and welcoming and made sure that we had everything that we needed in order to enjoy our stay. It was very easy to communicate with reception when we needed fresh towels etc… Our room was very nice, we were on the 5th floor. I do think that there could be some improvements made in order for a more pleasant stay however we did enjoy our weeks stay. The bathroom was equipped with all the essentials, also many goodies like shower caps, shaving kit, dental kit, shoe shine kit and comb which was a very nice touch. The room has AC and a fan which was very convenient and easy to use, lots of lights a sockets, I did like how the door had a mirror behind it but there was no mirror on the dressing table which was inconvenient. The minibar had a good selection however when opened a misty smell came out so we did not feel comfortable using anything from there, the coffee machine was dirty we tried to rinse it out with boiling water but did not work (if you stay please check beforehand). Loved the balcony and double door panning very peaceful, the room could have done with a gown and slippers as it was hard floor. We had had to ask reception for the ironing board and when we allowed cleaner she took it so we had to ask for it again multiple times. Breakfast was nice with lot of variety to choose from, 8th floor was nice to sit down in the evening very relaxing, didn’t get a chance to use the pool as it was always busy. Tv was complicated to use. I would recommend this place and obviously hope that constructive feedback is taken and positive changes and made - might stay again? Thank you to all the staff who made our...
