Less than mediocre food, and bad service made for a poor experience.
When you first walk in, there is a nice ambiance, if a bit pretensions for what it is. However, everything went downhill from there.
To start off, there is no wine list or drink menu, getting back to that point about being pretentious. And though the wine was served in an ice bucket, there was no towel provided to hold the wet bottle.
When it came to ordering our food, it seemed they were out of more things on the menu than they actually had in stock. We had to resort to second or third choices for every course including dessert.
My biggest complaint is the food itself. Our food was not made fresh, and this is evident by the speed of the courses. Within 10 minutes of ordering, we had already received our appetizer and my main dish of mushroom risotto. While the flavor wasn't bad, the rice was soggy and obviously premade. I've never even been served that quickly in an American restaurant, so it says something that the courses felt rushed. As for my partner's turkey leg, it was undercooked. A well cooked leg should fall off the bone or at least come off easily. But the interior was still raw and clung to the bone.
For dessert, I will give credit to the fact that the crème brûlée was freshly brûléed, though the crème itself was not well set.
And then for the bill mishap. We were overcharged by 20€ because there were 4 additional items added to our bill that we did not order. I understand this can sometimes happen, but combined with all the other issues and the fact that the place was not extremely busy, it points to a larger issue of mismanagement.
I would not waste your time, money, or palate at this...

Read moreRead good reviews and thought to pop by. However, think we were plain unlucky as there was only one poor chap serving all the tables, running from kitchen to bar counter to tables to take order and clear tables. He told us to take a seat and left us alone for a good while. We were understanding and helped ourselves to the menu and made up our minds on what to order. But it was simply impossible for him to stop by as he rushed from kitchen to tables outside the restaurant as well as others inside. After being ignored for 15 mins we decided we had to go. ...
