Got stuck in traffic and arrived at the restaurant very late. But the owner was not impatient but tried very hard to speak English to us. The food was brilliant, the best we have eaten in Madrid and Barcelona. The pre-guess salad, in particular, was very rich, with green grapes, raisins and a cucumber smoothie in addition to the basic vegetables, and the sauce accentuated the refreshing taste of the fruits and vegetables. Beef stew in red wine and chocolate was amazing, although it didn't look good, it tasted great. The beef was chosen from the brisket portion of the beef, which was soft and flavorful, tender but not greasy, and the pickled chili pepper that came with it was also very appropriate. The meatball rice was given four meatballs, the meat was firm with a very wild flavor, the rice seemed to be slightly treated with Japanese vinegar and had an appetizing sour taste. Each dish gave the impression of surprise cooking, which is rare in restaurants at this...

The food is just WOW! A small (4 6-place tables + 5 bar seats + a few more outside), neighborhood gastrobar run by 2 couples. Kitchen table atmosphere, but a faithful clientele that greets each other like long-lost friends.

The chef came over to take our order and we put ourselves into his hands. He gave us: The creamiest, richest Russian salad I've had in Italy or Spain. A pistachio-cilantro hummus spread onto thick crackers Papas Arugas, waxy boiled potatoes topped with smoky pepper purée - WAY better than the same old tired patatas bravas. Broiled mushroom caps stuffed with Roquefort cheese on toast points One octopus tentacle crusted in salt and paprika served with chunks of roasted sweet potato. He hit a home run with every single dish. What a great, innovative meal in very humble surroundings. I...

So glad to have found this hidden gem! This is a place where you can find the locals. On arrival we were welcomed warmly. We had a long table in the back of the restaurant, ordered a lot of food and drinks and stayed all evening. It was such a pleasure to hang out here and celebrate life! The people working here are very passionate about food and you can taste that back on your plate. I have recommended this place now to multiple friends and would for sure go back once I’m in Barcelona. Make sure you call for a reservation when you’re with a group as the place packs up...
