El Cafè del Teatre — Restaurant in Barcelona

I used to go to this bar very often, once a week at least and since ive moved to another neighborhood i come at least once a month. I remember it having very nice atmosphere, the service was not great but not too bad and the food and drink were always delicious. Lately I’ve visited again as it was my favorite place in whole barcelona and it took 20 mins to get the waiter come to our table, they were busy chatting. Then we have ordered cheese board becayse i remember seeing it few months ago and wanted to try because it looked awesome. Unfortunately i didnt take a picture because i was too shocked, but it was literally 2 slices of thin cheese with half slice of dry bread. The drink selection is fantastic. However, I’ve had a frustrating experience with the service during my visits. Last night, we waited 40 minutes for our drinks (25 minutes to order and another 15 for our drinks to come), even though the bar wasn’t busy. The staff seemed more focused on chatting and looking at their phones rather than attending to customers. When we finally managed to get their attention to place our order, the server told us to wait a moment and then went off to clear an empty table instead of taking our order. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time I’ve faced slow service here; it’s been an issue during all three of my visits. Esta mañana me he llevado una muy mala impresión de un lugar que hasta el momento lo tenía considerado dentro de mis tops… los días sábados termino a las 12:30 mis clases en Gracia y fui al café porque vi que tenían el letrero puesto fuera de las fórmulas del desayuno, le pregunté al camarero si podía ponerme un café y un croissant, me explico que después de las 12 no lo hacían y que era solo por la semana, como entenderán sólo vi y pregunté nada más. Aun así el camarero accedió a darme lo que pedí, cuento corto a la hora de pagar me cobró más de lo que era el café más el Croissant puesto en el cartel que era 2,90 le dije a la chica que me estaba cobrando más y salió el camarero a increparme con bastante mala educación rallando en la provocación, cuando solo le hice el alcance del letrero que él mismo tiene fuera del local; la explicación de su bravuconada fue que después de las 12:00 es otro precio.. Se puede entender, pero si tanto problema hacen los horarios, simplemente no debió servirme nada y ya está, toda el mal rollo y la mala educación con la gente que está tranquila y solo le pregunta por su políticas del local se lo debería guardar para su entorno cercano… Espero este hombre no sea el dueño, porque si fuese así, no es el representante que ninguna empresa quiere tener… Una pena, pero los detalles hacen grandes las personas y...
