La Trini — Restaurant in Barcelona

I trusted the reviews here and was disappointed. We landed on Barcelona first day and decided to check this place out for tapas. The menu was more expensive that I thought. On here it says 10-20 euro per person but we ended up spending 70 euro total, and the food didn’t fill us up. For example this jambon ibérico was 19 euro (15 euro average price at the restaurant)

Otherwise, I admit that the quality of the food was really good, but we later discovered that you can get cheap tapas elsewhere.

If you’re landing in Barcelona for the first time, I recommend you search “mercado” or “mercadona” on google maps. You can buy a day worth of groceries for 20 euro (beer, ham, cheese, tuna,...

We had dinner there as the kid randomly picked the restaurant and it turned out to be a great choice. All the food we ordered (Calamars Olé A L.Andalusa Amb Maionesa、Tortilla de patatas 、Pota De Pop La Brasa Amb Patates A La Gallega 、Constelletes A Baixa Temperatura Amb Xips De Iuca、Paella Valenciana) were fresh and delicious. They also offer 1-person portion of Paella which was nice as I heard that most of tapas restaurant only offer 2-person or above. Disappointed 😞 I have been several times in the past years and I used to love it, but this time it was very disappointing. I don't think I will return nor do I recommend their lunch menu. The meat was not edible, basically a piece of rock, the dessert was industrial. Anything outside of the lunch menu is crazy expensive, and the 19 euros plate of jamon I ordered outside of the menu wasn't even freshly cut... Maybe they thought I was a clueless tourist.
