Farine — Restaurant in Barcelona

Sad that this is one of the highest rated places in the train station. I normally like Lavazza but not this location. The coffee and pastries were both very mediocre but the service was terrible. The man working there was rude and very annoyed that I was not a Spanish speaker. I tried my best to order in Spanish and then had to point to an item at the end. He finally just ignored me and gave us the wrong order. Everyone else here has been very helpful when there is a language barrier. Martes 23 de Septiembre a las 7AM en el Fariné de dentro de la estación de Sants. Mientras pido, una camarera se acerca a una mesa en dónde unas mujeres con velo están esperando y les dice que tienen que pedir en la barra. Acto seguido vuelve y delante de todo el mundo en la barra suelta 'que se vayan a su país'. En ese momento le llamo la atención y le digo, que sea cual fuera la circunstancia - que no quisieran pedir o lo que fuera - no podia realizar ese comentario racista a todas luces, en su puesto de trabajo. Ella me contesta algo parecido a que cuando trabajen 8h y se levanten a las 5 no sé que - porque ya no la esucho - . Es decir, no sólo no pide perdón sino que sigue con lo suyo. Me siento y oigo como la chica sigue durante cinco minutos explicando el incidente con sus colegas alegando, algo que me parece alucinante, 'libertad de expresión'. Me acerco y le recrimino que esté criticándome y encima siga justificando su comentario. NO es libertad de expresión, es un comentario racista. Esta empleada debería limitarse a realizar su trabajo, de la mejor manera posible y tratando a todos por igual. Si la mesa en cuestión no quería consumir o similar, que el encargado hubiera ido a decirles algo. Es INTOLERABLE que se permitan estas situaciones en pleno siglo XXI y más que sean toleradas por los responsables del lugar. I ordered a coffee and a small pie after asking the staff if it was vegetarian. They told me yes, but then I found small pieces of some pink things that looked a lot like meat... I asked the staff what it was and they could not tell me! They really had no clue and no indication! They could not give me a ticket for my order either! 4 euros and some wasted... Otherwise, it was a nice place to wait in the station. I should have ordered a coffee only...
