Read moreA pocket gem in Barcelona's park system - a few square blocks in size but with lots of room to relax, and apparently on Sunday at least the place to bring your dog. When we first entered, there was a modest sized fenced area with dogs inside we assumed was the "leash-free dog area." However, dogs and their people were everywhere! Some on leashes, but mostly running freely around. As dog owners traveling without our pooch, it was quite delightful to see so many people and dogs enjoying the park. Ball playing areas, ping pong tables, and playgrounds can be found through the park. The park is named for the great Spanish artist Joan Miro and has a beautiful work of theirs at the heart of the park. Doni i Ocell (Woman and bird) is a very large, extremely colourful work.
