Hemingway Gin & Cocktail Bar — Restaurant in Barcelona

Pros: They serve good signature cocktails and the presentation of those is very nice. A big compliment to Marc Anthony who works there. His attention to detail, attentiveness and friendliness with customers is exceptional and exactly what I would expect from a good cocktail bar.

Cons: I was served a drink in a chipped glass. When I asked for a glass that wasn't broken I was told by one of the other staff (David I believe) that I was overreacting. I noticed that he served another customer a cocktail in a broken glass (a squid looking glass which had a broken tentacle) and quite frankly expecting a glass that isn't broken isn't an overreaction. Any good cocktail bar would not ever consider serving drinks in broken glasses and especially wouldn't tell a customer they are overreacting, so this speaks for itself in the quality of this bar. Unfortunately, only their signature cocktails are good. If you are expecting to receive a good classical cocktail look somewhere else. We also ordered an Old Fashioned and it wasn't great. Great experience, such an amazing staff, very positive vibe and ambience... had few cocktails and a great time... the Hemingway named drinks and such an original glasses for each drink we had. We went there with 2 kids ( 10yo & 13yo ) ... Marco & Jordi ( the experienced mixologists there ) took extra care of our kids - give them special mocktails ( non alchoholic drinks ), give them to do the shaking in the shakers, give them extra attention .... they all had fun. Its nice place and we will be visiting it again soon for sure. The theme in the bar is so unique, drinks are prepared with elegance and detailed in the condiments - in order each drink to deliver the WOW effect. A must place to visit for people with sharpened taste and people who know how to enjoy a special beverage tailored up...
