Koikoi Sushi y cócteles — Restaurant in Barcelona

We stopped by Koikoi Sushi for lunch today, and honestly, it was such a great experience from start to finish. The place has a really nice and relaxed vibe, perfect for a mid-day break. But what made it truly special was our waiter, Bobby.

He was super friendly and kind right from the start, and took the time to really advise us on what to try. You could tell he knows the menu inside-out! The dishes he recommended were absolutely exceptional – fresh, full of flavor, and beautifully served. You know that feeling when you take the first bite and just go “wow”? Yeah, that was us.

We also had a bit of small talk with Bobby during the meal, and it just made the whole lunch even more enjoyable. He’s one of those people who instantly make you feel welcome without ever being pushy.

This place gets a solid 4-star from us, as they have very attentive staff and cozy atmosphere. But as for food, honestly we expected a bit more (based on reviews). It was good indeed, but somehow quite basic. I mean, you don't get an explosion of tastes or any creative signature dishes, just solid good sushi & cocktails, same as many other good places can offer in Barcelona. Koikoi Sushi y Cócteles ha sido, sin duda, uno de los mejores restaurantes japoneses en los que he estado. Desde el primer momento en que entras en el local, se nota que es un sitio especial: ambiente tranquilo, decoración cuidada y una atmósfera relajada que invita a disfrutar de la comida sin prisas.

La calidad de los platos es simplemente excepcional. Todo lo que probamos estaba buenísimo: desde los Yakisobas hasta los makis, pasando por platos más elaborados, cada bocado era una explosión de sabor. Se nota que trabajan con producto fresco y de gran calidad, y que hay un mimo especial en cada preparación. El sushi está perfectamente equilibrado en sabor y textura, y la presentación es impecable.

Otro punto a destacar es el servicio: la camarera que nos atendió fue encantadora, muy simpática, atenta en todo momento y con muy buenas recomendaciones. Nos hizo sentir como en casa, y eso marca la diferencia.

Y por si fuera poco, tienen un toque tecnológico muy original: ¡un robot camarero que te trae la comida a la mesa! Nos pareció divertidísimo y una muestra más de que cuidan hasta el más mínimo detalle para ofrecer algo distinto.
