Quite possibly the absolutely best hidden gem of the Barcelona food scene. Stumbled upon it about six years ago, and fell in love fr the beginning.
All the cooking is on point, from the core of the rice grains in the risotto to the frying of the crocettas - what ever you eat, it will be to your satisfaction. The winelist is good, and the drinks are sublime. The waitor only speaks Spanish, but on the weekend we found that there's an English speaking hostess as well, regardless, it's absolutely a place to visit. We went at least 10-15 times during our year in the city, bringing every single visitor we had, and each and single one, from vegan to meatholic, from 19 to 84 year old ; all of them absolutely ecstatic.
The food and drinks are accompanied by an extremely friendly and lovely staff, and really affordable prices.

La Prudencia del Raval, es un local tipo gastrobar que como su nombre indica se ubica en el Raval, a escasos metros del Paralelo y la sala Bars. Destaca por su carta de tapas o platillos elaborados a un precio único (4€). Ideal para probarlos todos. Pastas, carnes, pescados y dulces se combinan con diferentes salses o ingredientes. No solo se trabaja la elaboración de los platos sinó también la combinación de sabores y la presentación de los mismos. Si quieres cosas más sencillas y clásicas, también ofrecen tostadas de jamón ibérico , foie y algún ingrediente de luxe mas. Todo lo que probamos nos pareció exquisito, e incluso repetimos los platos de bacalao: a la llauna y con roquefort y nueces, el carpaccio de sepia con helado de lima con apio y el risotto de Arroz venere con crema de ajo negro y gamba. En el apartado de carnes destacaron la carrillera con miel y vermut. Para acompañar los platillos disponen de vinos a copas con especial atención a las Do Catalanas. Varoas opciones de postres que no probamos. Local pequeño, decorado con modernidad y elegancia y mezcla de mobiliario i ideal no solo para degustar su cocina, sino también para hacer un vermut o una copa.
