La Rovira — Restaurant in Barcelona

I’ve never received such an aggressive treatment from a waiter in my life! Almost got into a fight with the guy because I questioned his choice to give a table to a person who came after us, being previously kicked off from the free table I was sitting with my family, waiting for the service. He said that we needed to take a ticket in order to sit because other people were waiting inside for the outside tables. When I wanted to take the ticket I noticed that nobody was waiting inside. In the meantime somebody else who came after us was receiving a table. When I asked the waiter how they got the table before us despite arriving after us, he became very aggressive verbally, calling me “stupid” and addressing other words which I cannot repeat here. Most probably, has my son not intervened by taking me out of there, the guy would have already hit me. Due to this guy’s actions we came to the conclusion that tourists are not really welcome in this place. But, regardless, my biggest concern is about the aggressive behaviour of this guy! He should not be involved in customer service in any way and, most probably his aggressive and xenophobic attitude towards to customers should be a big concern for...

Great ambience, just locals, and the most important: great beer! 16 types of beer on tap. I just had a red IPA, number II on the "menu", ordering the second as I type... The nachos were good, but the guacamole was not impressive - but who cares? I was at the Park Güell and came here to meet my husband to watch Barcelona play. The bar is full because of that - my second beer just arrived, goood. I recommend this place because of the beer, it is full, but everybody is sitting down, it is not a big place, staff is fine, free wifi and they have vegetarian options. Besides that, I'm trying really hard not to say a bad word while a watch the game (ai! My Brazilian blood) because a kid is really close to me and I'm not saying anything about the judge's mother because it is...

Nice food and setting inside. We had to wait a while for a table but that was ok. They decided to seat 2 x groups of 2 who arrived after us on a space for 4 but we patiently waited. What was slightly amusing was the utter detest for tourists by the staff 😄. Anyone who didn’t speak Catalonian or Spanish was not welcome. They didn’t hide this loathing for outsiders despite the music played being all American and UK artists ha. Thankfully we were able to order in Spanish but be warned! A German tourist came in and spoke in English (which she was perhaps more comfortable in) and the lady at the bar slagged her off in Spanish under her breath…which the German understood and had a nice face off. Was quite the experience! Back to the Spanish...
