Ombú Cafè — Restaurant in Barcelona

One of the best cafes I have ever been to. Coffees are crafted with love and passion. Every single menu item is delicious - the avocado toast is solid, the açaí bowl is fantastic and comes with hand-sliced exotic fruits, and the yogurt bowl is filling and fresh.

I cannot recommend this place more highly. Owner (Pablo?) speaks great English and is extremely friendly and knowledgeable for tourists looking for local suggestions.

Update: went back about 18 months after my original review, there were more friendly staff so things were turned out faster, but the love and quality was still there. Cannot say enough about this truly world-class café, the level of coffee beverages, breakfasts and snacks they are consistently churning out deserves much greater recognition. They make Starbucks seem like McDonald’s in comparison.

If you live remotely near this place and you haven’t been yet, do yourself a favor and go immediately. Until you do, you are squandering an opportunity to enjoy truly elite coffee beverages, something many people will never experience or...

OMBÚ Coffee in Poblenou gets the fundamentals right. The flat white was made with light to medium roast Brazilian beans. Smooth, balanced, no bitterness. Served with a small pastry that complemented the coffee. Nothing sweet or unnecessary. Just right.

Indoor and outdoor seating is relaxed and functional. People working, talking, or just sitting with their dogs. No noise. No posturing. Staff were friendly, switched between languages easily, and never pushed anything.

They placed second in the 2023 BCN Coffee Awards for service. It shows. Every part of the experience felt considered but low effort.
