We had a lovely stay at H10 Marina Barcelona. Stayed in a junior privilege suite in early July 2024. The hotel itself is modern, fresh and looks great. It’s very clean and well presented. The immediate area is quiet, a bit nothingy but has a couple of bars that serve food and some convenience stores and a pharmacy very close by. Walk to the beach is around 15-20 mins and you are also the same distance from Poblenou which has many restaurants bars and shops. Westfield Glòries mall is around 20-25 min walk. City centre around 30 mins walk away. All in all, a good location. Our room was on the 7th floor and was a great size. Minibar was refilled daily and had water, coke, beer. Nespresso machine was handy and the bed was super comfortable. We didn’t use the Aircon much as found the ceiling fan did the job fine. The shower was an over-the-bath type which was a little disappointing but it was decent, and it was great to have an ironing board and iron in the wardrobe. The safe was easy to use, the tv was a little pointless as it didn’t pick up most channels. Breakfast was very good… a great selection of fruit, pastries, juices, hot food and cold meats and cheeses. I did find the selection a bit samey and it could have been mixed up a bit, but the quality and range was good. Rooftop terrace gives some nice views but it’s small and gets very crowded, the pool is actually quite small but there is a bar to order food and drinks. Open 1100-2100. Staying in a privilege suite allows you access to the privilege lounge which is a nice quiet space with sofas, a work area, soft drinks beers and wine are provided along with snacks and small sandwiches. Overall we loved our stay here, it’s a very well equipped hotel in a convenient location and the staff were all fantastic.

Great base to explore Barcelona. We visited in November so the weather was 20 degrees so still warm enough to walk around in summer cloths but will need a jumper for evenings. 45 min taxi drive from the airport costing 35 euros. On arrival we checked in early at no extra cost. We received complementary drinks and the staff where very welcoming. 20 min walk to the marina - we stopped at a lovely seafood restaurant for taps and drinks. We opted to do the red bus for sight seeing costing 40euros for two consecutive days. It stops at all the main sights. We stayed for 4 nights so we managed to see quite a lot. Sangrada familia (Wow) Park Guell (amazing) lots of hills and steps so be prepared. Camp Nou - football stadium, My husband was in his element!!! Casa Bello lovely! These are just a few! The La Rambla is amazing - don’t miss this. Back to the hotel- great facilities. Roof top pool. Was not quite warm enough in November for a dip, but warm enough if you want somewhere to sit and read in the winter sunshine. The spa area definitely worth trying. 20 euros for 2 hrs. The food and drink are amazing - and more cost effective to eat and drink in the hotel believe it or not. We ate both in the restaurant and in the bar area. The break fast has a great selection and it’s advertised as continental which is what you get and is lovely. They do put some hot food on but it’s luke warm so it’s not that nice. Can’t really complain though as it’s more than your expecting. Overall the hotels decor is very tasteful, staff great, facilities awesome. Taxi to the main area is 10eros or is a 20/30 min walk. Highly recommend

Stayed here recently for a business trip. The price per night was expensive for what was available. Positives - the room itself was nice, Spacious, clean. There’s a bar/restaurant in the hotel. The ground floor bar had a good offering and friendly staff. The restaurant on the ground floor was spacious & clean. We had a preset meal so cannot judge the usually service provided. The breakfast had lots to offer as a buffet style breakfast, good quality and nice choice. Water provided in the room was not replaced daily despite room being cleaned. No plug available for the bath so couldn’t have a bath if wanted, and no kettle provided so couldn’t have tea/coffee/hot drink etc. meaning have to purchase tea/coffee at the bar instead if needed! Negatives - The location is not on the marina, but about a 20 min walk to the marina and about a 20-30 min walk to the centre, with not much around the area otherwise. It boasts a rooftop terrace sky bar, which was closed and looks like closed for a while due to renovations despite not being advertised as closed. The room walls were so thin that I was woken up by what I thought was rain, but was in fact next doors shower. You could hear doors closing, toilets flushing, coughing, showers etc. resulting in a poor nights sleep quality and duration! Would not recommended, nicer accommodations available.

I would highly recommend this hotel, as staff are professional and friendly but are not overly assertive. They will acknowledge your presence when you walk into the hotel but unless you are requesting something, they will leave you to go about your day. Which is probably why it is labelled as 4-star but in my opinion deserves more – considering the size of the most basic category room and the amenities they provide you with. They should really be disclosing this on the website, as far as I knew from the information on the website; we only had shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. So then, I had brought my own toothbrush, not knowing there would be a two dental kits provided in the room. Not only the dental kits, but we also received a shoe polishing kit and shaving kit. Truly remarkable for only a 4-star hotel. Also another thing I have to mention is the amount of pillow they provide you with is glorious! They give us 3 pillows each, which was perfect for us considering pillows from hotels are normally quite fluffy and turn flat quite quickly. But genuinely had such good night’s sleep here. Lots of space in the room and of course a minibar to store any drinks or food you may have during your stay. I know if I am coming back to Barcelona I would only want to stay here! Feels like my second home even though we were only there for 4 nights. The only downfall I would say for the property I would say would be the Spa and the staff. My boyfriend had tried to book massages for us for the day of my birthday prior to us staying and there was a real communication barrier with the staff booking this for him. As much of a struggle it was, he managed to make the booking but just wanted a formal written confirmation of this – but this was not provided. Not sure if the Spa just do not have confirmation of appointments to be sent to guests or if there really was a communication barrier with them. So when we finally approached the Spa for our appointment, the man on reception was quite frank and rude – said we had to go upstairs to main reception to pay for the treatment. So there we were at 15:00 peak check in time, trying to pay for this treatment – which we were NOT informed that we had to pay at the main reception desk. If we were informed, my boyfriend would have paid upon check in. But again, this is just another miscommunication gap, which could have been avoided. So once we finally managed to pay, after the craziness of trying to see a receptionist while they were trying to check in a group – the spa staff were quite hostile telling us to “hurry up” because of the “time”. Sorry but – if the staff is not communicating to us effectively, how on earth is this our fault that we are now late? Why is the Spa not able to take their own payments? Why is Front Office not aware that guests must pay for treatments beforehand so they can advise upon check in etc ? These are just small things, which could have improved our stay significantly. Apart from the Spa staff almost ruining my birthday, I genuinely enjoyed my stay in the hotel. I just wouldn’t recommend using the Spa for the above reasons. Just seems they are very unorganised and unprofessional and they could have dealt with us...

Sadly disappointed by initial introduction to hotel. Arrived early before check in time to ask if we could leave our luggage. Staff very helpful & polite and said they would call housekeeping to ask them to prepare our room early. We left and returned an hour before normal check in time. Room not ready so they asked us to sit and wait and they would call us over as soon as the room was ready. They didn’t so if I hadn’t gone to check we would have been left waiting in the bar. Got to room and pleased with cleanliness and size but noticed that although we had paid for a deluxe room, there was none of the additional deluxe perks promised and paid for! Called reception to be told yes housekeeping were aware and would bring the kettle, slippers and bathrobes later! By the way that is all you get as extras for a deluxe room. So sadly a poor start to the stay which has tainted our experience and holiday and would now not chose to return here. Don’t waste money on a deluxe room it’s not worth it.

Thank you for your response which clarifies H10’s listening and approach to customer service. Firstly as explained in my initial review, yes your staff did ask us to sit in the bar area to wait whilst our room was prepared and we were given a free drink to enjoy whilst we waited. We were assured as soon as our room was ready we would be notified. However no staff member came to let us know as you have alleged and it was only when I returned to reception and asked that I was made aware the room was ready. However our room did not have the kettle, coffees/teas or the dressing gowns or slippers. In response to my call advising these items were missing your reception team advised me that housekeeping were aware that the items were missing and would supply the. The kettle and tray with teas and coffees appeared later that afternoon, which explains why it was there as you mentioned after we checked out. However despite a 2nd call to reception notifying that we were still awaiting the slippers and dressing gowns they assured us that housekeeping would deliver these to the room. However these were never supplied so were obviously not in the room when we checked out. We did notify the reception team as we checked out that the requested dressing gowns and slippers had never been supplied for which they apologised. Suffice to say the service we received was below the minimum standard expected but more concerning is your response as you have misrepresented the facts e.g your staff not coming to notify us that our room was ready and by implying that the kettle being in our room on checkout implied it had been there all the time. The items are only of minor importance, but as you charge for them in your deluxe upgrade they should be suppled in the room on check in and not require the customer to have to keep asking for them. From our experience, it could be viewed that H10 are actively taking money under false pretences which I am sure is not a reputation your organisation would like to...

We stayed 4 nights in the hotel, a family of 3.

The room provided was standard in order to put an extra bed. Overall, everything one needs is available, shampoo, body lotion, dental kit etc... Which is really nice if you are forgetful 😉. The room and furniture are aging, yet it is very clean. Cleaning is done on daily basis. Bed and pillows were very comfortable.

The spa is OK. We went there twice. The first time, jacuzzi was freezing cold. The next day, temperature was OK. I usually experience it hotter. Steam room and sauna are very small. Could fit 3 people because of Covid restrictions but really it should not fit more than that or would feel really crowded. The receptionist not too friendly. We booked a slot but e lost time because we had not been told to pay beforehand at the reception. Knowing that you have a limited time slot of 90 minutes, I was not too happy about losing 15 minutes just because I was not informed to pay ahead.

The hotel lounge is very nice and a big plus for the small exterior where we had lunch on two occasions. The food was so-so though. But it is really nice to sit outside, have a drink and enjoy the sun.

The breakfast was really the highlight of our stay. Amazing food, good quality, and lots of variety. I have been told not to pay for hotel breakfast because one can find cheaper outside but I must say that it is worth every penny! Staff is really making sure everything goes smoothly.

Location is great. Many things and areas can be visited just walking distance. And if you don't want to walk, there are always taxis waiting downstairs for very cheap price. During our stay, we did not encounter any issues with homeless or feeling of insecurity. Graffitis are everywhere which does not give a good vibe at first but after visiting the city, it seems that they are everywhere...

The reason I am removing one star is because of the sound and noise. Soundproofing is non existant. I have traveled a lot and been in hundreds of hotel and it is the first time that I experienced that. You can hear people discussing, you can hear toilet flush, you can hear steps, so if you can hear everything, they can hear everything too! My primary goal when I go to a hotel is to get a nice comfortable room for a good sleep. When there are people surrounding your room discussing or partying until late, if you are like me, you can't sleep until they go to sleep. Out of 4 nights, I only slept well just one night...

Overall, that hotel is a very good deal and if you are not too sensitive to noise then go for it. If you are then you...
