There are so many negatives to give regarding my experience with this restaurant. A group of about 13 friends traveled to Barcelona for a birthday trip. Seating such a large group was prompt. Upon entering my boyfriend had a small luggage that we had recently purchased. The hostess, approached him and due to the language barrier we couldn’t understand what she was asking so we waited and then when told where the table was, we started to walk. She then raised her voice and asked referring to my boyfriend, “Is he always like this?”. I asked her what she was trying to relay and then we understood that she wanted to check the bag. A simple situation immediately turned hostile.
The process of ordering went well! I ordered the salmon and veggies. The salmon had NO seasoning. The portion size was decent. The ambiance was very nice and a DJ was setting up in our area as well for later hours I’m assuming.
Towards the end of dinner, a friend asked the Manager if they offered anything FREE for birthdays. He advised that he would locate something. A couple of minutes thereafter we were brought out champagne flutes for a toast. Prior to drinking them we inquired on who ordered them and were they free. Our server advised us not to worry about anything. So we proceeded with the toast. A couple of minutes after that we were brought 6 different desserts to sample. Again, we asked who ordered them and if they were free and we received the same response.
After we received the bill, we noticed that the champagne and desserts were charged. My friend immediately spoke with the manager Juan and the waiter regarding the charges. After discussing the issues for about 30 mins, she was told that NOTHING is ever free and they would accept half of the charges. After all of the bills were paid, the manager Juan brought out a round of shots to the table as a “bandaid” regarding the issue.
I would not recommend this restaurant to ANY tourist based upon the lack of service, deception, and quality of food. This was definitely not a memorable experience. The food was also pricey in comparison to...
Read moreI recently dined at Patron, and while the food was very good, the overall experience was unfortunately impacted by some service issues, which was disappointing as it was my friend’s birthday.
Upon arrival, the hostess greeted us with a curt "What do you want?" instead of a welcoming introduction, which left a less-than-positive first impression. Since I speak Spanish, I couldn't help but feel that this might have influenced the way we were treated, which was unfortunate.
The service continued to fall short during our meal. The waiters were not as professional as one would expect—wine was poured carelessly, and plates were placed on the table with little attention to presentation. It felt rushed and inattentive.
To add to the experience, I had paid a €40 reservation fee that was supposed to be deducted from our bill. However, when the check came, the discount wasn’t applied, although I didn’t realized until next day. After reaching out to the restaurant, I was told my reservation was marked as a “no show,” which was puzzling. I had to provide proof of payment from my credit card before they agreed to refund the amount. This was an inconvenience that could have been handled better.
On a positive note, the first waiter who served us, likely the maître d’, was very polite and attentive. His professionalism stood out and was the highlight of the service we received.
While the food was tasty and very good, the service issues overshadowed our dining experience. I hope Patron considers improving their customer service to ensure a more consistent experience...
Read moreI rarely post but when it is necessary. I booked to go to Patron with my friends who came to visit me from the Caribbean. Arrives in front of the restaurant, the 3 security guard that i have a reservation. He starts to stutter, looks at his friend and tells me that its not possible because my friends are « badly dressed ». Im a little shocked, i explained to him that indeed if they are going to change (they had sneackers anyway which have their prices) could that be possible? There, he doesnt answer me and tells me that he could recommend another restaurant. I swear, while he’s telling me this, a bunch of boys in ripped jeans and sneackers fit in with no problem. We understand that at Patron, you enter if you have a good head, and i am sorry to say but they are litterally racist. I never had a problem getting back to the Patron, and it never happened to us..... im shocked i was ashamed that this happened to my loved ones, its disrespectful, its horrible and i hope that other people will not have to undergo. We know very well that whatever we may have done, they will have refused our entry, Its only a restaurant, not a club, how dare hou refuse an entry? I just want to add to the owner that the dress doesnt make the monk, and unfortunately for him we payed an astronomical sum in a restaurant...
