Pink Cakes — Restaurant in Barcelona

The Snickers cake was amazing! It had a delicious interior that was caramel with a bit of white chocolate in the chocolate cake. It was really nice and gooey and not dry at all. 5/5 for the cake flavour.

I flew in to Barcelona for my birthday so I walked in and picked this cake out from display because it was the most beautiful. I wanted it for pictures.

It stayed perfect for the 1 hour of pictures outside in the sun. None of the parts broke or smudged even though it was shaken a lot in the box. It was Instagram perfect.

Of course a beautiful, unmovable exterior means the icing was thick. The exterior was too sugary and sweet for me. But I’ll 100% buy it or a cake like it again because the purpose of buying it was for the beauty as well as the taste and it served its function perfectly well.

The person who opened the store was super nice and spoke English with an American accent so communication isn’t a problem for non-Spanish speakers.

Also 5/5 for them having a cake this size. I had no idea what I’d do with a large cake for the two days I was there for my birthday. I’ll also drop in that I took the leftovers home and it survived the 4 hour flight back, intact and...

When I ordered a cake for my son's birthday, Oriana at Pink Cakes BCN Bakery was very helpful and friendly, and always replied quickly to any query I had. She sent me pictures of cakes and suggested different flavours and toppings I could also choose from. Even when we had to move the delivery date for the cake, Oriana couldn't have been kinder about changing the arrangements. And she offers cake delivery in Barcelona if you need this service, which I did as I was ordering from England.

My son was absolutely thrilled with his surprise cake and loved the choice of chocolate sponge with a caramel crème filling between layers. The decorations on top of the cake included chocolate icing, piped caramel icing swirls with tiny fudge pieces, chocolates and his favourite, stroopwafels. And the finishing touch was the gold Happy Birthday sign with his name!

On a family call, we all watched enviously as my son cut the first slice of the cake. It looked perfect inside too and he said it tasted incredible. I don’t think it will have lasted long!

Oriana at Pink Cakes has such an incredible heart and I would give them my highest recommendation. My partner had to fly from the US to Barcelona for her work on her birthday, so I couldn't be with her and wanted to surprise her somehow. I emailed Pink Cakes, and very soon heard back from Oriana saying that she could happily prepare and deliver some custom cupcakes same day. Amazed by her incredible accommodation with my last-minute request, she worked with me in asking for my vision and requests to produce a beautiful box of cupcakes. Not only that, but she kept me up to date the whole time with the progress, sent me photos, and made sure they arrived at their destination. Absolutely incredible.

My girlfriend was so surprised to come back to find the cupcakes, and said they were the best ever. She shared the cupcakes with her coworkers and they were all able to celebrate together. I have the warmest gratitude for Oriana for going so far above and beyond to share her art and her heart to produce a true gift, which was much more than simple cupcakes, it was a team effort to make...
