Pizzeria Napoletana Pummarola — Restaurant in Barcelona

I never write reviews but now I have to share this. I have never been treated this BAD way before.

Me, my husband and our son have visited Pummarola many many times and have always been so satisfied. The staff are fantastic and the pizzas good.

We eat here when we travel between Mallorca and Puigcerdà. The restaurant is close to the ferry and a parking garage so it's perfect for us. But unfortunately we will NEVER visit this place again.

The restaurant manager more or less kicked us out the last time we were there. The manager has short black hair, piercings and tattoos. She told us we had to leave the table because other people were waiting. I was shocked and asked if we could finish our wine first? She said: no! If you want to finish your drinks, you can sit at a small table for 2 people next to her desk. I explained that we just want to finish our wine and then we will leave. No, no it didn't work, we have to leave our table.

When we got to the restaurant we ordered without looking at the menu because we know what we want. We will either go by ferry or drive up to Pugcierda so we won't stay long. 3 pizzas, 1 bottle of wine, coke for our son and a coffee.

It is very sad that our tradition ends here. We will NEVER visit this place again. The staff is super nice and the pizzas, even though they are a little burnt sometimes, are good. The managers rude attitude destroys everything. I recommend you to go to...

We don't come here for the decor, although it does have half a fiat 500 stuck to the wall. Neither do we particularly like the music, which is frequently interrupted by a food delivery app notification sound for the whole restaurant to hear. But my god. The dough! The soft, airy, hot dough is incredible. The quality of the product here is unbelievable, especially given how most pizzas are only around 10 euros. Watching the pizza being made and put into the oven is a joy. Eating it is heaven.

Staff is always friendly and fast. Last time I had the pleasure of sitting next to the cashier - I thought it was the worst seat in the house - I was wrong. They take care to interact with every customer, often speaking two or three languages. Even when it's extremely busy, they're never rude. Have lost count how many times...

I was just curious to try it since I just moved next door to this new opening pizzeria and honestly they would need to work quite a lot and hard if they want clients to come back...very very disorganized (this can maybe happen because it's a new place), very long waiting, while I was waiting there for my pizza take away, customers at the table waiting for probably more than 30 mins for their pizza (and the restaurant was not even full - just lots of mistakes with orders - waiters quite lost - pizza maker very slow...), pizza can be okay, but wouf you should work on that tomato sauce, it looks like you have mix it with a liter of water (way too much) that look like the pizza is "wet".... If you will improve all those things, maybe I will give you another changes in the next...
