Don't judge the area by the amount of graffiti when you first arrive because it is friendly and there is a lot of life. The main street nearby is pedestrianised and used for events, plus reduces traffic. This does make it tough for some taxis but the walk is negligible. As for the hotel, it was very pleasant. Check in was easy (watch out for the extra city tax charge). Lifts are good and corridors clean. The room was cold on a few nights and we had to battle with the AC, so take some warm pyjamas outside the summer season. The beds were hard and pillows massive but we slept well once warm. There is just about enough space for clothes and there's a room safe large enough for a laptop. The balcony is small and large enough to stand. The bathroom was clean, the shower was great and the toilet paper cheap and narrow! The buffet breakfast was reasonable with the usual foods on offer. I was surprised to find decaf coffee options from the coffee machine. Overall, it was a positive experience.

Super happy with my choice of this hotel. - Location: perfect. everything is nearby, Fira Barcelona, old citystreets, placa de barcelona, big street with restaurants and cafes etc. so you can explore Barcelona a bit by foot. There are many busstops around the hotel and a metro. - hotel and rooms: renovated, modern, clean and neat. Our beds were made every day and towels were changed every day too. - breakfast: is really good actually. There are always eggs, bacon, two kind of saussiges, cheese, cereals, milk, croissants and chocolatecrossants, coffee, tea, cola cao, different kind of softdrinks etc - good price for everything you get - service: I asked for extra blanket and an iron, they give it directly (reception) and are always happy to help. Thanks a lot! Next time I come to Barcelona, I will stay here too.

Great location within 10 min walk of La Bocqueria and Placa de Catalunya with some great cafés and restaurants even closer! We weren't expecting much but were surprised by the quality of our room, especially the shower and if you're planning on being out all day then it makes a fantastic base to start from. The neighbourhood had a great atmosphere and we could have spent all our time there and had fun! We were only there for a few days and were very sad to leave, but we'd be happy to stay here again!

Hi

Upsides: Lovely spacious room, modern design (looks like new), not far away from La Rambla street which is main street in Barcelona, Beech not very far away as well, nice staff, luggage saving service is in hotel (the staff keep your luggage in locked storage room), staff are very friendly and polite, big upside are wonderful breakfast, breakfast area is large (enormous) very spacious which is nice because you can relax while you have them you don't have to be in a rush, lift, also there is a lounge, we asked for blanket and we received one after few minutes, lovely balcony view, a very good thing was a good hairdryer which made my wife life so much easier usually in hotels we find that those hairdryers are just for the looks but don't a lot of drying at all but this time we were surprised that hairdryer was in quality and in good condition capable to its work, reception works all night, pillows are comfy which was unusual for us.

Downsides: noisy street, also minus was that shower steam was triggering fire alarm, bad sound isolation in the rooms, not a lot of vegetables in breakfast, there is no door in the shower in the bathroom which always makes a lot of mess with water running down everywhere which sadly makes use up more towels just because you don't want make a flood in the room, also it is quite chilly at night while sleep (we got cold first night really much), sometimes the breakfast food was a bit cold. Also we didn't said anything but the sink was clogged in the bathroom (Room 203).

Overall: we would suggest if you want to improve your service leave in every room during winter times to leave warm duvet and duvet cover (two of them to each person), also to improve sound isolation and to make your swedish breakfast table rich with more vegetables like cucumbers, red peppers. Maybe you could include in breakfast menu some warm chicken slices or some pancakes and also try to keep the food as warm as possible. Also you could add some more fruits like fresh watermelon, pineapple, kiwi, grapefruit.

And I think people would definitely appreciate some more vegetables. You could even make some nice greek salad or any other salad which are more...

I spent 5 nights in this hotel and for the money I have paid I got a really nice location, comfort, buffee breakfast included, but most of all... EXTREMELY HELPFUL AND POLITE STAFF. They are very problem-solving orientated and really helpful - I can give a proof for both these qualities! I wanted an assistance from one of the receptionists, Reah, to find me a ticket for a Barca football match, and nevertheless the interest for tihs match and the demand for seats was very high, she still managed. But pitifully exactly right after she found me the ticket, I had to cancel it, because one of my business meetings was rescheduled. She found a way to return the ticket and reinbursed me 100% of the money. And all of this for less than a few hours. And she didn't get mad or something, she just provided me with the assistance required! The second situation occured a little bit later the very same day when I had problems with one of the sockets in my room. To summarize the long story short - they have immediately provided me with 3 solutions and suggested that I pick the one that suits me the most.

Amazing staff and a really nice manager! Thank you for your hospitality Adrian, thank you for everything you have done for me Reah and also thanks to the meintenance guy!

I REALLY DO HIGHLY RECCOMMEND THE PLACE, BECAUSE NO DOUBT YOU WILL HAVE A SPLENDID TIME WITH ALL THESE LOVELY PEOPLE AROUND!!!

P.S. I will miss you guys......
