WHAT A SPOT.

This quality of food, at this quantity (big portions) - INCLUDING drinks, for €25 each?!? Shut the front door - they deserve an award for serving the Barcelona foodie community 🔥🤪

I’m high-key obsessed with this spot in what I consider an underrated foodie barrio in BCN, and here’s why:

• DISH OF THE DAY: very hard to pick but it would have to be the hassleback bravas - just wow 🥔

• FLAVOUR: 9/10 - everything was so deep in flavour with incredible flavour combos! Some of them really push the palette like the torrezno with orange and honey, and the provolone aubergine which was extra smokey 🍆 🍊

• PRESENTATION: 9.5/10 - branded plates, beautifully presented, wanted to eat everything immediately!

• PRICE: €25 each and we were stuffed!! 👏🏻

• SERVICE: 9/10 - all our dishes came quite quickly but that was fine as it was all tapas style for sharing! Really friendly staff 💓

• VIBES: 10/10 - tables under their huge open windows with vibey lights and a very cool vintage-esque interior 💡

• GOOGLE RATING: 4.2 - this is low in my opinion ⭐️

• BEST FOR: non-traditional tapas to share, bodega vibes, intimate catch-ups or date night

• WOULD I RECOMMEND IT TO A FOODIE FRIEND? I’ve already raved about it to about 5 foodie friends!! So without a doubt I would. I need to go back to try more of the menu - particularly because they were out of their artichoke! ♥️

What a joy this bar was for us during our few days in Barcelona.

With friendly, welcoming and helpful staff, tasty tapas and an excellent drinks selection, we felt like locals every time we popped in. especially considering we were remembered (as were our names) after one visit.

We were staying just upstairs from the bar and went here for dinner on our first night. There was only tapas available, but that wasn’t a problem, as after a long day’s travel it was just what we needed.

We ordered patatas bravas, a charcuterie plate, some bread with tomato that seems to be a specialty in Barcelona, sardines and yummy chicken croquettes. Along with some good drinks, it was all delicious and the perfect introduction to Barcelona.

The bar and restaurant is nestled on the corner of a local square just down the street from Sant Antoni Market. It has a lovely and relaxed neighbourhood vibe and is a great spot to chill if you're in the area.

For visitors to the area, I highly recommend popping in to say hi to this lovely crew, pull up a chair and watch the world pass by with a cool wine in your hand. Perfect.

I’d also like to send special thanks to Tomas and Khetag for going above and beyond and making us feel so at home whenever we popped in. Their big smiles and friendly chats will stay with me as a great memory from this wonderful and...

This place was right near our AirBnb and we quickly noticed that it was very busy all the time. Since we were in Barcelona during the lockdown, the opening of the restaurant was clearly welcomed by a large local crowd. That says a lot! We ordered a couple tapas that we like: pan del abuelo y tomate (toast with tomato and oil) and croqueton pollo (chicken and cheese croquettes). Loved them both! Asked our waiter for entree recommendations. We ended up with pargo (sea bass) and ceviche de corvina. Excellent choices! We finished our meal with a traditional dessert: torrija (warm bread/pastry with a carmelized sauce and side of vanilla ice cream). Delicious!

We saw in other Google reviews some frustration with service. We have learned over our time in Barcelona that there is a definite cultural difference between how service is provided here versus the US. Things are at a slower pace here. You let your waiter know when you want to order, whether it is your drinks or food. You should ask for the bill when you are ready to pay. People here tend to sit, linger and talk for long periods, so wait staff allows the customers to take their time without bothering them. The tables do not turn over as quickly as they...
