Everything you need to know about Parco. If you are looking for the best sushi in Barcelona, then this is the place to visit.
Parco has a very unique place. Firstly, there is no website and the tables are always full. Parco prides itself from a local and international reputation from simple word of mouth. You can make a booking over the phone or in person. Book in advance.
There is typically no menu given to you. Not because it is a secret, but because they want you to experience the element of surprise. The staff will always ask if there is anything you don’t like, and if you have any favourite foods. They will bring you a selection of sushi and sashimi on small plates until you have had enough. Relax, trust the process and you will enjoy the experience so much more.
My personal favourite was the tuna sashimi, the butterfish, and the scallops.
And if you are concerned about price don’t be, Parco serves high quality food at a very good price. Expect to pay around €50 per person.
The seating and tables are low and cosy, this is intentional to make you feel like you are relaxing at home with good wine and good company (not ideal to wear short skirts). There is also outdoor seating which looks onto Passaig de Gracia.
The staff are casual, friendly and very attentive and they will treat you like you are part of the family. Big shout out to Omar who took care of my table - he is amazing and nothing was too much to ask!!
I have been living in Barcelona for 1.5 years and I would easily say that Parco is my favourite spot for sushi...
Read moreIt was the best meal in my life.
I got to the restaurant and asked for a menu to see what to order, but got very confused since it's not well detailed. Then the servers explained to me that they don't usually work with a menu on the restaurant. Instead, they ask for what you don't eat and then bring different dishes so that you can try different sushi's from what you normally eat.
I have to say, it was INCREDIBLE. I've never been so surprised by a dish, and each one managed to surpass my expectations even though the last one was also amazing. The other dishes that were not sushi based were also incredible. The drinks were also some of the best I've had in my life.
I almost didn't go because I was thinking "sushi is sushi everywhere, it can't be that different here". But boy was I wrong. I'm so glad I went here even though I didn't have much expectation for the dinner. Was it expensive? Yes. About 75 euros per person. But I couldn't be happier paying this amount for this...
Read moreGood food, a few selection of wines… inside seating is low tables beware, it is not very comfortable. Our waiter was very reluctant to bring us the menu. We ordered wine from the menu which as soon as we ordered he took away the menu. And then he asked what we liked and dont like and he said he will organize all the plates. We did not understand it in the beginning and asked what is going on. At least can we see what you ordered for us and how much are they. He brought the list of what he ordered for us. He said i can cancel them and you can pick what ever you want from the menu. Eventually we changed 2/3 items from his list and added a couple of more. Also with the bill one of the items was charged twice instead of one. They apologized and corrected immediately. The sushi is very tasty. Be careful some of the shrimps are raw. We tried beef tataki and tempura...
