First of all, i want to say that the food at this place is absolutely delicious. There is not one single plate we didnt like. Everything tasted so good. The owner is super nice and polite and accomodating. But there are two problems for us, i can see the place is very understaffed and a family run business, first the temperature of all the dishes were just warm, not hot, it feels like they have been cooked and no one was serving them. Both the appetizer and main were warm only. However still tasted very good. Second, the service is really tooooooo slowwwwwwwwww. We came on friday lunch at 2:56pm, ordered at 3:04pm, the appetizer came at 3:25pm, and the main came at 4:05pm. We asked for the dessert and bill in one go as we were in a rush. The time between the dishes was very long considering the food came only warm. However the staff did come check on us to see if the food is good, if we liked it, and thank us for our patience, and said goodbye to us nicely. They also brought us more bread to finish which the sauces which are amazing and i licked the plate clean😝😝😝. This is a place i will come back to try a second time, as today is rush hour and understaffed, i hope to have a better experience next time but the food...
Read moreWhat a find. We had a hour or so before leaving for the airport and looked at various local Tapas bars, all of which were overpriced and touristy. We stumbled upon La Mostra by chance. We asked if they had an english menu and the owner said no but come in and he would translate it for us!. It was quiet around 4pm and some tables were leaving. Once they had he gave us his full attention and explained all the dishes and was clearly passionate about his food. While waiting we were given some fried potatoes as a snack..very nice. When the food arrived..wow it was AMAZING, probably some of the best I've had anywhere. We all had different starters & mains & loved them all. I had soup as a starter...How many restaurants would ask if you wanted some more... he did. The flavours and presentation of the food showed the chef cared and really knows his stuff. My fellow guests actually applauded him when he came out to eat his lunch. The owner was great, very welcoming and friendly and we were really disappointed that we found La Mostra so late in our holiday. We would of happily eaten there every day. We didn't look at the prices so was amazed how little it was when the bill came. Best place we ate at while in...
