I've had tons of amazing Indian food in San Francisco. I've also had amazing Himalayan food in Mallorca which was basically Indian food. I've been to 2 other Indian restaurants in Barcelona. This one however is just as good as the one in Mallorca and the ones in San Francisco. I can't speak for the rest of the "7 best curry restaurants in Barcelona" but I can certainly say this one deserves 5-stars and is well worth the price.
To elaborate, we ordered the palak paneer and the lamb kebab (it had a different name but that's basically what it is). They first brought out a complimentary papadum with 3 chutneys. I have to apologize I'm about to butcher the rest of this but you will get the picture. 2 of the chutneys were familiar and awesome, one of those being a minty chutney, and the other being a sweet tamarind tasting one. The 3rd was a cheesy chutney I had never experienced and it was simply delicious.
The cheese in palak paneer was easily in the top 3 I've ever had. The lamb kebab was also as good as any I've ever had. We also had paneer naan which was again just delicious. Be sure to order a Cobra as well; it just goes so well...

Part of the reason I fell in love with the food here was because I hadn't had even half-decent restaurant-style Indian food in over one year of being in Europe. It would be safe to say I was craving Indian food.
Having said that, the food was nothing short of exceptional. We ordered chicken tikka masala and paneer kadhai, with tandoori roti, kashmiri naan, gajar halwa and mithi lassi. I would recommend each and every single one of those. We might have been a tad bit lucky because the owner of the restaurant himself cooked for us (it involved us reaching before regular working hours began and him being kind enough to feed us anyway), but that was one meal I will not forget for a long, long time. I never thought I would say this about Indian food, being an Indian myself.
To anyone reading this review, I most sincerely recommend this restaurant. Clean and simple decor, warm and welcoming staff and some incredible,...
Read moreOne of the same jewels in Barcelona regarding quality price food. It's located near plaza España in Barcelona and the place itself is very simple and doesn't look like much. But as you can see with the reviews it's food is great. Authentic Indian food made by the same family for years. You can ask them how spicy you want everything by the way, so it's not over the top hot unless you take chicken Madras for example. They have a menu of 9.90€ that includes first, and main dish, desert, one drink and a portion of naan and rice. And for that price you have a great selection. Moreover, of that menu you can take whatever your heart desires, and everything so far I have tried these past 5 years has been excellent! The quantities of the menu are twice as big most of the times too (something to consider although you can doggy bag the leftovers). Overall one of the best Indian restaurants quality price in...
