Extremely cute with the wood + plants atmosphere, good for travelers wanting a quick but hearty brunch before trekking around all day and having to wait for a late Spanish lunch. Excellent waffles, both savory and sweet (we had the smoked salmon waffle with a poached egg + the dulce de leche waffle with peanut butter instead), my friend loved the matcha too, and I liked the cappucino as well. Complimentary mini chai tea latte that my friend also adored. Service was friendly, efficient, and good. The guy spoke more English than most restaurants around here too, if tourists are worried about that. Extremely comforting and filling as Americans after having had Western European-style breakfasts our entire trip (basically only coffee and a small pastry). We like that too, but miss home...

(5 days in BCN) - FLIPÁ: A Home Away From Home: My friend stumpled upon FLIPÁ on a morning search for coffee. After his recommendation I decided to go check it out myself for brunch. Since then we regulared the spot each morning for its delicious and healthy menu, perfect coffee and vibrant community atmosphere. The staff are attentive, friendly and make you feel at home, and English-only speakers will have no issues here. Something that makes FLIPÁ special is that they serve you a different complimentary drink to sample on each visit, making it an unforgettable café experience. As an American getting back into speaking Spanish, I was happy that they had staff that spoke both English and Spanish and was willing to start speaking Spanish to me so it helps me get used to it. Not necessary but a huge plus to me in Barcelona.

The food, the service, the price... PERFECTO!!! It was my first time having a savory waffle and it did not disappoint. The cafe con leche was good without sugar. I usually add sugar. It's pet friendly so once I move here I can bring my dog along.

It's small inside but you can choose to sit outside especially if it's a nice day outside. I stayed inside but it didn't feel claustrophobic at all.
