Updating my review after 2 years: I thought of giving them another try, but we are more disappointed than ever; we are specialty coffee lovers and have been to many cafes around the world. The quality decreased even more, the price is too high for what you get - now it’s one of the very few cafes in Barcelona where they give you blends instead of single origin. I recently come from Paris where I paid 2.5€ for an amazing perfect espresso and here for 2.5€ the taste was horrendous. They became more focused on food (which says a lot), the barristas are not really barristas, the place is quite dirty inside and needs a renovation. This has officially been our last try in this place
Updating my review after 1 year: 1) the prices have become exaggerated- considering there are so many specialty coffee options in the city- they are not justifiable at all; 2) the quality of the service has fallen too much, the blonde guy serving is super arrogant and he acts superior - we had a discussion with him while he was insisting to sell us a coffee of more than 20 euros the pack basically telling us we’re stupid for not buying quality coffee indirectly; this is not how you make your customers come back! 3) we discovered amazing specialty coffee shops part of the fair trade system (with own roastery too) and we are wholeheartedly investing in them knowing that they don’t take advantage to make lots of money like Roast Club is obviously doing. I have the feeling this place is for tourists/expats only anyway. Too bad, you’ve lost 2...
Read moreI walked 15 min to this coffee spot. I go to order coffee, and for some reason, the guy behind the counter is super rude. Maybe he was having a bad morning? Ok, then be professional at work because I’m a paying customer. I ordered my drink, and paid for it even with the rudeness.
I then sat down with someone else at a table outside, and a separate employee comes up aggressively without saying a word, with a clipboard, I guess to take our orders. Even though I have the branded cup of this cafe in front of me. I show him my cup, and he passive aggressively stares at it waiting for the other person at my table to order. …. Okay? Since when it this a rule for coffee shops, one minute after sitting down? We tell him we’re leaving anyways and he smiles (for once the entire time) and walks back.
I leave, and was not going to leave a bad review. But then, I look down after I leave, and my shirt is completely ruined by the red ink of the takeaway coffee cup given to me. See photo.
Would not recommend....
Read moreWalked into this place for some brunch, here’s my experience: wasn’t greeted by anyone infact ignored….
Took a seat with girlfriend, was given a coffee menu despite wanting food and coffee. The place is farrrr to hot, bad air conditioning.
Waited 15 minutes at the table to be ignored.
Left the table and thought I’d grab a coffee to go at the window outside since it was much to hot inside and the staff were too busy.
Waited 10-15 mins at the window to only be ignored by the barista.
Won’t be coming back here if they can’t even cope with Monday brunch traffic, it wasn’t even that busy and I felt completely ignored.
Not acceptable for a coffee shop, I have places to be and go and wanted a quick coffee and bite. Instead wasted 20/30 mins being completely ignored by the 4...
