PÖTSTOT — Restaurant in Barcelona

First of all: Great vegan plant based restaurant! We really liked the food even tho the portions were a bit small for the price. Sadly we couldnt really enjoy our stay as our server was jittery and in a constant hurry. He was new as he proclaimed himself so maybe he was just a bit nervous. He was pushing us to order and trying to take food, we havent even eaten up yet. The restaurant was not fully booked, we didnt stay overtime and there were not much tables to serve, so there was no obvious reason to us, why he was so persitent on giving us the feeling, that we need to hurry up. In a restaurant with such high prices I would prefer to enjoy my food in peace. Beside that the other waiter was really friendly, so maybe we just managed to get a bad day. We really would have liked to taste some more dishes, but we decided to leave as we didnt know the reason for the hurry and didnt want to...

Service was like VERY disturbing. We were given a menu, 2 minutes passes and we are asked to order. Of course, we were not ready and asked for more time

Then, after ordering and starting eating we were approached again, like after 3 mins, asking if we want to share the dishes or not (we already had plates to share). Then again, after like a couple of minutes, because they asked our friends if they want something else

Overall, the constant approaching and interruption of our conversation was happening like at least every 5-10 mins till we asked for a bill and finally got a chance to talk normally

I’ve never seen any service like that before, it’s just super confusing and felt like they want us either to order more or leave away asap

In addition to this, the dishes were like teeny tiny (we ordered the main ones) and there was no soap in bathrooms 🤡

Totally would not recommend this...

I had the most incredible dining experience at Pötstot with my family tonight. Dining out is normally a nerve wracking experience since we suffer from celiac amongst other food allergies. It was incredible to eat a certified gluten free and vegan establishment. Additionally, they took note of our other food allergies and happily made necessary modifications to any menu items we wanted to eat. The food was without a doubt the best gluten free/vegan food we have ever eaten! Possibly the best meal we have ever had! We wish we had discovered this place sooner so we would have eaten here every night during our stay in Barcelona. Our waiter was incredibly attentive with very fun energy. The food is great, the atmosphere is fantastic, I really can’t recommend this restaurant enough! Thank you so much...
