Bosc Palerm — Restaurant in Barcelona

We went to this place to try the paella and read the reviews so thought ok let's go. We were greeted at the door quickly and brought to.our table. Waitress took our order brought our bottle of wine and sat it on the table. I had to ask for a bucket of ice to keep it chilled. Then our paella arrived about 25 to.30 min which is standard but she laid it on the table and walked away not even warning us the pan was hot or enjoy your meal. Btw the paella was amazing that's why I gave it 2 stars but our waitress didnt come back to check on us instead she was drying utensils behind us throwing them in the drawer as if she were mad at something . Near the end of our meal I seen our waitress go into the bathroom which we were seated next to and come out but the sink is in my view and she didnt even stop to wash her hands.. finally I had to ask another lady for our bill because our server was no where to be found even the table of tourist behind us were looking around for her I asked where she was and was told shes at the bar. This by far was the worst service we have experienced in Spain yet. Good thing the paella was one of the best we have had. The waitress never introduced herself so I'm not sure who she is. I'm not condemning this place as the food is good it was just...

We decided to visit this place based on reviews and recommendations. Unfortunately, this visit left the most hateful memories. The waiters do not even consider you as people, they ignore the queue and seat you last unless there are 6-8 of you, which is a higher priority for their tips. We visited the establishment on 06/12/2025 at about 21:00, the waitresses (Thai) served extremely terribly. All our requests were ignored, and the entire queue behind us found their tables earlier due to the desire of the waitresses to seat other people who did not book seats in advance, just like us. The desire to sit outside was accompanied by phrases like, well, wait 30-50-100 minutes, maybe it will be free, although literally 2 tables were freed in front of us and there was no reservation. The service was at a zero level, no initiative, no responsibility, you need to beg for everything and almost serve yourself. The food that was brought half an hour later was dirty and also had hair inside (I will attach a photo).

I understand that you, dear visitor, are already tired of reading this, so the overall impression is: zero for service minus for poor quality food zero for the atmosphere

This place has the best paella! Absolutely delicious! The service - not so great.

We went there on a Monday afternoon, and the owner said we'd have to wait for 1-1.5 hours since the place is fully reserved, even though half the tables were vacant. When we told him that we called 30 mins prior to check if there's waiting and we were told it wouldn't be a problem, he said okay, and asked a waiter to make arrangements for a table for us.

There was a small round table in the corner cramped in between the bar, the entrance door and an arcade table. The waiter put a tablecloth there and gave us 2 bar stools to sit. We were fine with it. But then, it took the same waiter 15 mins to come back and ask us for water! We placed our order at the same time. It took another 30 mins to get the order! To be fair, the guy behind the bar was nice and checked on us a couple of times, but our waiter didn't check in or give us any sort of update even once the entire time.

I should deduct another star, but the paella, once it came, was delightful. I should also mention that when we left, more than 1/4th of the tables were still vacant. I'd still recommend you go to this place to for the paella. Hopefully you'll receive better service...
