We came to visit after craving to trying some unique cuisine we hadn't tried before, and we're lured by some of the more positive reviews, as well as the available menu in their website. When we arrived, the restaurant was empty, like, ghost-town empty. Surprise number two was the actual food selection; apparently, it seems as if they may have had a bigger and more exciting selection of dishes in the past, because during our visit their menu had been reduced to a really minimal amount of choices - basically you can't order "a la carte", but need to order as a Menu, which consists of 4 types of salad (2 of them not vegetarian), and 3 choices of main (none of which are vegetarian). My partner is vegetarian and had a hard time being able to choose a main, which they somehow accommodated by taking the plov option and removing the meat. Then as the last you can choose dessert, coffee or tea, but their desserts (the homemade ones) are not included in the menu, so you just get supermarket flan or supermarket pudding. In all honesty, and while the food wasn't bad, I did not think it was worth the 16.50€ price for the menu, even if it included the drink. My partner, which had to settle for the meatless plov, did only the get the side dishes for it, nothing extra as veggies or protein to make up for the lack of meat, and still also was charged full price. Truthfully, and as sad as it may be (in my opinion, some items in the menu have a lot of potential, if priced accordingly), I believe we won't be...
Read moreOh man, it was a nostalgic dinner. It’s been over 10 years since I’ve been home (Samarkand) and a bite of every dish brought those memories back. Mantu, plov, fried barak, sambosa, choi kavut(black tea) and more. Every dish is made with love and the owner is gifted with the hands of a chef. The small details of it being served in Samarkands plates and tea pot & cup kicks me back in time. The place is decorated very Samarkandski. It sucks I will be leaving Barca now as this restaurant is one of the ones in whole Europe. If you wanna be different and want to try something unique I’d highly encourage you let your taste bud enjoy this cuisine. I believe it is priced well as well as the dishes take enormous time to make.

Read moreThe owner was very nice, she was very happy to serve and to talk to people - it felt like having lunch with family. Service was great and very fast.
Food was some of the tastiest, most filling and cheapest I've ever had in my entire life. Food varies greatly from common foods everyone likes (soup, potato salad, dumplings) to more "out there" dishes (I especially recommend the vinegret salad). I really don't like tea and especially green tea, but I LOVED the Uzbek tea!
The place was decorated with stuff like traditional dolls or carpets, and there's even Uzbek dresses you can take pictures with.
All in all 10/10, I very strongly recommend it to anyone and I will definitely...
