It’s always hard to find a truly good Thai restaurant abroad, but I’m so glad I found this gem! At first glance, the place looks pretty simple, nothing fancy, no trendy decor or aesthetic setup. But the real WOW comes from the food. The flavors absolutely blew me away.

I dined alone but still went all in and ordered three dishes (don’t underestimate me, I finished them all 🤤😅). I had the Papaya Salad with Thai anchovy sauce, Grilled Pork Neck Nam Tok, and Pork Spare Ribs Tom Zaab.

The Papaya Salad was incredible, super authentic and perfectly balanced. Honestly, it tasted exactly like what you’d get in Thailand. The Nam Tok was just as amazing; the pork neck was grilled to perfection, and the flavors took me right back to a local eatery in Thailand. As for the Tom Zaab, the pork spare ribs were unbelievably tender. I could even chew through the soft bones, and I’m usually not a fan of soft bones! But in this dish? I genuinely enjoyed every bite.

I couldn’t even pick a favorite, every single dish was delicious. If I ever get the chance to visit Barcelona again, I’m 100% coming back here!

BTW the staff was so nice...

I came in alone for lunch, the restaurant was empty. I wanted to sit at a table that was set for for 4, because it’s more comfortable, and all the tables were empty! All of them! Five parties of four could have still come in, and there would still be space for them! But I was still told that I could not sit in that table because it was for a party of 4. I noted that to to guy (who I believe is the owner), but he said that there are already 4 plates on that table so I have to sit at a small table. Honestly, I have never encountered anything like this. Just bad costumer service and relations. I thought about leaving, but have been wanting Thai food for a while, so I decided to stay. I had a beef noodle soup that was just ok. A bit too salty for my likening, and definitely over priced for what you get. That’s all I tried, so I can’t speak for the rest of the food. But the service… 🤦‍♀️ You have zero people in your restaurant! Try to make the one person who comes in happy and...

Erawan is without a doubt a unique temple of Thai food in Spain. It's unpretentious and goes straight to the point: it delivers on what it promises. Thai cuisine is much more than Pad Thai and Tom Yam. Mastering it requires a high level of knowledge and expertise, as well as a broad variety of products that aren't easy to find in Western countries. I am deeply familiarized with Thai cuisine, and I constantly try to locate chefs that transcend the ordinary. In this case, I can guarantee that the experience provided by the extremely talented Aom, along with the restless aid of her husband, Javier, is not only simply outstanding, but also fairly addictive. Even more, I think I have found in Barcelona a portal that, oddly enough, appears to teleport you instantly to the heart of...

We were 4 of us and ordered 1 Kung him pa (rolls), 2 Pad Thais with chicken, 1 Pad woo sen Kai (with shrimp), 1 Tom Kha Kai (soup), 1 Kao hom Mali (rice). We also also ordered 3 beers and 3 glasses of wine. When we got the check… to our surprise the prices on the menu were NOT the prices we were charged…please see attachments… The wine glass price was not listed on the menu… and we were charged 5.50€ each!!! The Pad Thais were listed at 12.50€, but were charged 13.50€. The caña price was listed at 2.70€ and we were charged 2.80€. We paid it all, but are NOT coming back to this place… Their excuse was that the boss had not had the time update the menu for months now… At least an “I’m sorry” would have been nice to hear….very disappointing!
