The fish & chips shop Gluten Free — Restaurant in Barcelona

I’ve got mixed feelings about this restaurant. On the plus side: • Their food is usually really good. (Just for the food, I’d put 4 or 5 stars.) • And it’s great that it’s gluten free. On the minus side: • Now and then they’ll put way too much salt on the food. • A few days ago, I wasn’t able to order a takeaway. They refused to take the order by phone (said I had to use “the app” – see next point), so I decided to go there in person instead, but they were out of calamaris and I had to return empty-handed. • For takeaway they point towards ”the app”. Now this is not their own app, but Über eats. Guess what, I can’t even find the gluten-free restaurant in the app, since Über thinks I should use a different restaurant in their network, which happens to be slightly closer from my home location. Perhaps I need to add an additional profile with the address "Casanova 91" in order to be able to order a takeout? But even then, at least for delivery orders, the app forces you to add extra potato and stuff...

To add up: If I want takeaway, I'll have to call in advance and check that they have the dishes I crave and next simply go to the restaurant,...

Can we Curry? Yes we can Can we Curry? (shout to RNR HOF Tribe Called Quest) Yes They Can! Well I’m back and in Barcelona. And Since We’re by the Sea I Craved the Best Fish and Chips in The City. After perusing a few Places online I made a Decision…. The Fish and Chips Shop. How easy was that? Well being closed on Mondays didn’t help, But I finally reached The destination at Rocafort, And I must say: Different But Tasty and Slightly Spicy Aromatic Cuckoo Crunchy and Tender AF as well as Moist. This is getting Soft Pornish. Curry blends are featured for Spices. You can always tell When it lingers on your Fingers, ) The Chips were well seasoned and possibly double fried. It’s a different kind of Chippie for sure. Now with that said I did Find the curry smell a bit Overwhelming when in the Shop but as soon as I stepped Away Al Fresco I could Taste All the Complexity in its Simplicity. It looks Easy but this is hard to Put a finger on yet lovely To Consume. I would label This ‘Curry Fried Fish’ as an...

We were delighted that there was a 100% gluten-free fish and chip shop in Barcelona and we had a fantastic lunch of calamari and chips, breaded dog fish, patata bravas chips, and padron peppers in tempura batter. We left happily full!

The member of staff who served us was really helpful. There's seating outside with parasols, although there's a few seats inside too for when it's too hot.

The Fish and Chips Shop has other venues, but this one is exclusively gf. It's a fantastic model in Spain that many of their cafes and restaurants keep at least one venue exclusively gf, which gave my coeliac family piece of mind...
