Visibly tired and fed up waitress came and gruffly asked about drinks and order. Chicken was overcooked and chips looked like only heated in microwave, very dry. When husband asked for new, waiter brought new portion freshly done chips, the difference was noticeable. I have had a big portion of pork meat well done with tomato sauce, but with same dry chips and rice. As rice was missing on plate, I asked waitress for a portion in addition. She took order and walked away, then had a smoke, and then suddenly I have seen her go away from place with handbag over the shoulder! So needed to shout at her - hey, where is my rice? And she turned head towards me and still walking without interest about customer said something "it's in the kitchen" and pointed by head towards the place she just left. Didn't bother to come to our table to explain and say sorry, I'm now finishing and you will get your rice soon. Instead of it let me feel like I'm bothering her. Other costumers have been watching this scene and I felt not like a customer, but like some beggar and idiot. So I asked another waiter for portion of rice, he was complete opposite of his female fellow and within a few seconds he brought it with an apology. Read moreI stopped for dinner while I was walking on the Boulevard. I had 3 dishes: Shrimps in oil Auberjenas Con Mile (Fried Aubergines with Honey) Boquerones Fritos (Fried Anchovies)
The food was disgusting. The eggplants were very oily and had no taste of eggplants. The anchovies were also very oily (as if the oil used was old)
The only dish that was ok but still very oily was the shrimp one.
The lady waiting on us, Paque or Paki, was very nice and friendly. That was the only positive aspect of my experience at this restaurant.
I have noticed the response of the owner. It is an unprofessional way to respond to a customer review. If you cannot accept criticism then you will have no room to improve. Your response reflect bad on you.
This is not my first day in Spain (like you assume) nor is this my first time. I have written good reviews on places I have eaten at in benalmadena, unfortunately yours is not one of them.
One only need to check other reviews to see that my opinion is shared by other customers.
